Tonight.
I would like to talk to you about something your body knows better than you do.
Have you ever felt a lump in your throat without wanting to cry?
Or a weight on your chest when nothing in your day seems to justify it.
Or a tension that always returns to the same place in your belly.
Your shoulders.
Your lower back.
Like a visitor who has ended up settling in.
These are not accidents.
The body forgets nothing.
What the heart could not say.
But the child you once were could not cry.
What you had to swallow in order to keep moving forward.
None of this disappears.
It is stored somewhere.
It is buried.
Layer after layer.
And the tissues.
In the cells.
In the breath.
In those areas that tighten.
As soon as an old emotion comes a little too close.
But a buried emotion is not a dead emotion.
It is simply waiting to finally be welcomed.
And that is exactly what we are going to do tonight.
And for the next three nights.
We are not going to fight these wounds.
Nor try to tear them out by force.
Nor even to understand where they come from.
We are going to gently descend toward them.
Offer them the warmth.
And listening they have been waiting for for so long.
And let them unravel by themselves.
At their own pace.
In the complete safety of your bed.
Your body knows exactly how to release what it has carried.
It was only waiting for one thing.
For you to come back to it without judging it.
For this work to take root in depth.
I invite you to listen to this meditation for at least 30 consecutive nights.
Thirty nights during which your unconscious slowly learns that it can lay down its arms that it no longer needs to hold back what it was holding.
And if you fall asleep while listening.
That is perfect.
It is even the sign that everything is working.
You're unconscious.
For its part.
Continues to hear every word.
And carries on the release until morning.
Now settle in for the night.
Let your back surrender completely to the mattress.
Like finally letting yourself fall into the arms of someone you trust completely.
Feel your heels.
Your calves.
Your shoulders each find their point of support.
Without you having to decide it.
Your hands are aligned along your body and inwardly.
Set this intention.
Tonight,
I am here.
I am staying.
And when you are ready.
Allow your eyelids to close very gently.
A bit like the evening that closes the day.
And now that your eyes are closed.
Bring your attention to the very top of your skull.
And imagine that a very gentle warmth.
Like a lukewarm,
Luminous water.
Is being placed there.
It begins to descend.
Unhurried.
It passes through your forehead.
And your forehead smooths out.
It slides over your temples.
And your temples loosen.
Your eyelids become heavy and calm.
Your tongue rests in your mouth.
And this warmth continues its descent along your throat.
Your throat.
Which is often the first place where an emotion gets stuck.
Where a word stops.
Where something remains halfway.
Without ever being able to come out.
And tonight it can simply open.
Relaxation then flows into your neck.
Than into your shoulders.
These shoulders that may have carried for so long the weight of holding on despite everything.
Of continuing anyway.
And your shoulders can drop now.
Millimeter after millimeter.
And the warmth.
Flows down your arms to the tips of your fingers.
Which grow heavier.
And your hands open.
Palms toward the sky.
As if to signal to your body that tonight You are no longer fighting.
You are welcoming and your chest opens with each breath.
And your heart beats at its most peaceful rhythm.
Your belly relaxes completely.
This belly that may have absorbed so many tensions you could not express in any other way.
And the relaxation flows down into your hips.
And your thighs.
Which become deeply heavy or perhaps light.
Feel your knees.
Feel your calves.
Your ankles.
And this energy now moves down to the soles of your feet.
Like a wave receding from a quiet beach.
Your whole body now rests in a beneficial heaviness.
Perfectly still.
Perfectly safe.
And if certain thoughts cling.
Let them be.
That is perfect too.
I simply invite you to allow your unconscious to open a little more.
And in this stillness.
I invite you on a particular journey.
A gentle descent inside yourself.
To where things have settled.
Imagine in front of you a staircase of warm stone.
Smooth.
Worn by time.
A staircase that sinks safely into the warm depths of your being.
It is not dark there.
A golden.
Peaceful light rises from below to welcome you.
Place one foot and then the other.
And with each step you descend a little further into your unconscious.
A little closer to what?
Within you.
Has been waiting for so long.
And the staircase leads you into a round.
Hollowed out at the very bottom of you.
A lukewarm chamber with very soft walls that seem to breathe slowly at the same rhythm as you.
Here,
There is nothing to fear.
The air is dense and good.
Almost sweet.
Like that of a house where a fire has been kept going all winter.
And in the center.
Resting directly on the floor.
An ember of golden light keeps watch.
Without flame.
Without sound.
Without smoke.
Just a warm presence that pulses very gently to the exact rhythm of your heart.
Through your closed eyelids,
Perhaps you already perceive this amber glow.
Tinting the inside of your night.
With a very tender color.
You move closer to this warmth.
You settle down very near it.
And you let the first wave of mildness come to touch your skin.
Feel it on the backs of your hands.
Feel it on your face.
On your eyelids.
Your lips.
It settles on you like a living blanket that fits exactly the shape of your body.
And you have nothing else to do but receive it.
Stay there for a moment.
Do not seek anything.
Simply allow the warmth to enter you.
At its own pace.
And now without the slightest effort.
Let your attention travel inside your body.
Not to analyze.
But to feel.
Let your awareness wander.
As one would run a warm hand over a surface and look for the places that are not quite warm.
The places that remain a little closed.
A little tight.
A little cold.
Perhaps a held area in the throat.
Or perhaps that density in the chest.
Or a fold in the hollow of the belly.
Or perhaps an old stiffness in the lower back.
Let your body itself show you the place.
That most needs to be warmed tonight.
When you have found it?
Simply place your attention there with infinite gentleness.
Without demanding anything.
Then the golden warmth begins to move.
It rises in a slow,
Thick wave.
And it heads toward that place in you.
Drawn to it as if by a silent call.
Feel it arriving.
Feel it surrounding the closed area.
Wrapping it from all sides.
Patiently.
It does not push.
It does not pull.
It simply warms.
And under this warmth that asks nothing.
Something that was hard begins to soften.
Something that was cold begins to grow lukewarm.
And the knot.
Fibre by fibre.
Loses its grip.
The area.
Little by little.
Let's go and it is here.
Exactly here.
That the release occurs.
Effortlessly.
And a total letting go.
And you may feel this place open.
Like a point finally loosening after having been clenched.
Without you even knowing it.
For years.
You may feel the air reach a part of you that had not breathed for a long time.
A wave may rise gently.
A warmth behind your eyes.
A sigh that comes on its own.
Perhaps a slight shiver or an emotion.
And if that is the case… Let it come.
Do not hold it back.
And do not try to understand it.
It has the right to exist and above all.
It has the right to leave.
Simply let what is being released be released.
Take all the time you need.
And each time you exhale,
Imagine that what is untying itself leaves your body with the breath.
Dissolves into the mild air of the chamber.
And fades into the golden glow.
Which welcomes it without the slightest judgment.
Breathe in the warmth and breathe out what is leaving.
Breathe in the new space.
Breathe out the old.
And feel the place that has just opened.
A new mildness settling in.
Wide.
Alive.
Tender.
And when you feel it.
Let the warmth seek out by itself another tight place and begin again.
Effortlessly.
This same gesture of gentleness.
You do not need to release everything tonight.
Your body knows exactly what it can let go of today.
And what it prefers to keep for the nights to come.
Trust it.
Let it choose.
Let the warmth pass from one place to another.
Like a light visiting.
One by one.
The rooms of a house that may have long remained in shadow.
And rekindling everywhere.
In its wake.
A forgotten softness.
And gradually.
Your entire body is warmed from within.
Warmth has reached the throat.
The chest.
It now circulates freely.
No longer meeting walls.
No longer finding closed doors.
Your body is no longer a place where things remain stuck.
It has once again become an open space.
Crossed.
Inhabited by a mildness that comes and goes as it pleases.
And in this recovered mildness.
A simple truth rises within you.
Quietly.
The truth that your body has never been your enemy.
If it kept that tension.
Those closures.
Those cold zones.
It was because it was protecting you.
It held in your place what you could not carry.
With bare hands.
It has faithfully waited for the day when you would return to help it lay all this down.
So?
Look upon your whole body with gratitude.
And let the golden ember continue to watch within you.
Inexhaustible.
Over every place you have just reopened.
And little by little.
Without you knowing exactly when it began.
The warm chamber and the sheets of your bed.
Become one and the same softness.
You no longer know.
Whether you are still sitting by this ember.
Or whether it is this warmth that now rests inside you.
And the weight of your body sinks a little deeper into the mattress.
And the mildness for its part.
Spreads.
Overflows.
Envelops you from everywhere at once.
The amber glow has spread into each of your limbs.
The outlines of the room slowly fade.
The walls are no longer walls.
The ember is no longer an ember.
There remains only a formless warmth.
A soft color behind your eyelids.
A very slow rocking.
Carries you without you having to hold yourself.
Somewhere within you.
This warmth continues to keep watch.
Faithful.
But it no longer asks anything of you.
It even prefers that you sleep.
For it is in your sleep that it completes its work.
And you can entrust everything to it.
The world holds for you tonight.
Your breath moves in and out on its own.
Like a peaceful tide.
Without you having to guide it.
And with each exhalation.
You sink a little more deeply into a dark and mild softness where nothing weighs anymore.
Where nothing remains tight.
And the images of the journey dissolve into pure sensation.
Like a warmth somewhere.
Or like a vast open space here.
Where there once was a weight.
The quiet certainty of having been heard.
Down into your most ancient depths.
Where no one had ever yet come.
And this is exactly how everything is repaired.
Everything that needed to be laid down is laid down.
Everything that needed to be untied unties itself on its own.
Without you.
And you now glide.
Gently.
As the last light of evening glides over a perfectly calm water.
As a warm leaf entrusted to the current glides.
Lower.
Further.
Deeper.
Toward the restorative sleep you deserve.
And if you are not asleep yet.
I invite you to let the following affirmations carry you to sleep.
Your unconscious will then take over.
My body has the right to set down what it has carried for me.
I gently release the emotions buried in my body.
What I swallowed yesterday.
I let go of tonight.
My body is not my enemy.
It is my most faithful ally.
Where there was a weight?
I let warmth enter.
I no longer need to hold back what I was holding.
Each breath unties a little more of what was tight within me.
My throat opens and all that could not be expressed is soothed.
My chest becomes a vast and peaceful space.
I am safe to feel and safe to let go.
My body knows exactly what to release and in what order.
I thank my body for having held on for so long to protect me.
Old wounds dissolve in the softness of the night.
My breathing repairs what silence had frozen.
I release control and my body regains its fluidity.
Each night.
I set down a little more of what was weighing on me.
The tenderness of what I offer my body heals it in depth.
A benevolent warmth circulates freely throughout my whole being.
I fall asleep reconciled with my body and with my story.
My body has the right to set down what it has carried for me.
