In this short talk and meditation, listeners are invited to pause and open to stillness. Are we looking out there for what we really want? Are we ready to finally stop, open right here and now, and allow our own humanity to finally be felt and recognized? Be simple, be still, and receive.

What we crave is presence,

Silence,

Our own essence.

When we feel like crap,

When we get entangled with another or caught up in the news or stressed about money or whatever the thing is,

What we really want is to be still.

And we might try a lot of things to scratch that itch.

We might try food or games or Netflix,

Scrolling or drinking or even exercising or working really hard.

But nothing really will do it except for what we are,

What we originally are.

There's something there,

Even after we've tried to scratch the itch in these smaller ways,

There's something lurking underneath.

So what does it mean to not run,

To be with,

To not make yourself wrong,

To finally get what you're looking for?

How many years do we do things and it's not what we were looking for?

It's very simple.

Sometimes it's excruciating in its intensity.

But it's not out there,

It's not in somebody else or in another thing,

Project or a to-do.

That's not what we're looking for.

We can be convincing,

We can be very convincing that it's somewhere else and that can be brutal.

And this just asks that we are here,

Even if it's uncomfortable or brutal,

Even if we have to feel something we don't like.

Can we feel,

Can we stay in our own experience,

Even if it's full of expression and messiness and trying to fit,

I don't want to do this,

I don't want to be here,

I want to run,

This is stupid,

Why do I have to do this?

All these voices,

These feelings,

These pieces,

If we let them be believed,

If we let them have the wheel,

Then we're not doing anything any good,

We're just going unconscious.

But if we notice them and courageously feel them,

Let them be here,

See them,

Feel them,

Breathe,

Then we have an opportunity to bring life,

Support,

Love,

Simplicity,

Health,

Back in.

I don't want to be here means I need help,

I'm struggling,

It's hard,

And meditation Meditation is about meeting Ao,

Meeting A,

I don't want to be here,

With kindness,

Softening,

Gentle,

Opening,

Strength,

It's hard to separate meditation from our divinity,

Our virtue,

Our self that's capable of so much,

That's really what we're doing in meditation is we're growing into our self,

Becoming what we really are,

Learning to inhabit it in true nature.

Very simple,

Very good,

Very kind,

Holy good.

Thank you for joining me.
