This is Taren,

And I'm so grateful that you're here,

Making space for this act of deep restorative rest.

This is a Wellspring Willow 8 hour journey of deep rest.

This practice is inspired by yoga nidra and the science of sustained nervous system regulation.

It's designed not just to help you relax,

But to provide a profound uninterrupted environment for your body and mind to heal overnight.

Over the next 8 hours,

My voice will gently lead you,

Setting the intention and calming the physical body,

And after that,

You will be seamlessly cradled in a soft nature of sounds and healing frequencies with only subtle,

Intermittent anchors of our mantra Shantivayo.

This is your safe space to simply rest and restore.

Begin to settle into your bed,

Allowing the body to find a position of total,

Unconditional surrender.

Surrender.

In this extended journey,

The real work happens when you let go.

Your brain and nervous system have an incredible capacity for nourishment,

And the key to unlocking this healing is deep sleep.

When you enter the restorative theta and delta states of sleep,

Your brain is actively cleaning,

Repairing,

And healing by introducing the constant,

Subtle anchor of Shantivayo,

Paired with these gentle,

Nature sounds and healing frequencies.

Intentional instruction to your nervous system.

You are safe.

Rest now.

Release.

You are safe.

This is not a task,

It's a gift of autonomy to your body.

You don't have to do anything here.

Your only job is to rest now,

Within yourself.

This sustained,

Deep rest journey offers profound support to your body and mind.

It helps to optimize cellular repair,

Is when your body focuses its vital energy on physical renewal,

Deep recovery,

And anti-inflammatory processes.

Simply allow my voice,

The gentle soundscape,

And the ancient wisdom of the breath to carry you into this journey of healing.

You are home.

Before we drift into the deep space of renewal,

We'll plan our sankopa,

Our sacred,

For this night of healing.

Perhaps you're already working with something,

Or you might repeat this intention silently to yourself.

I easily return to my other self.

Allow this simple truth to settle deep within your heart.

It is the guidance that your inner knowing holds for you.

Gently now,

Allow your awareness to drift down,

Anchoring your physical form.

I feel the support from the earth will gently introduce the sense of heaviness and stillness throughout the physical body.

Simply allow each part of the body to surrender.

Softly begin to sense the right effect.

Feel the weight of the heel,

The ankle.

Allow the energy in the right leg.

Gently now,

Move awareness to the left foot,

The left heel.

Just notice if there's any residual tension here.

Now,

Notice both legs completely heavy and relaxed.

Softly move your attention to the pelvis and hips.

Sense the hips softening and lightening.

Fully supported by the earth.

Gently now,

Bring awareness up the spine,

Starting at the base of your being.

Running all the way up,

Noticing each and every vertebrae,

One by one.

All the way up the length of the back.

Any final resistance.

Softly bring awareness to the right hand.

Feel the gentle weight of the right fingers.

The palm of the right hand.

The wrist.

Forearm.

Upper arm.

Gently bring awareness to the left hand.

The left fingers.

Palm of the hand.

Is heavy.

Gently bring awareness to the shoulders and neck.

Feel the weight of the shoulders.

Sense the mouth.

Let the jaw be loose.

And the throat,

Soft.

Bring attention to the face.

The right eye.

Allow the space behind the eyes to be soft and still.

The whole body is now deeply rooted and completely still.

You are safe to let go.

Take a deep breath in and feel the weight of your entire being resting here.

I easily return to my authentic flow and purpose.

As we continue,

If thoughts arise,

Do not engage them.

Know that your subconscious mind is processing what it needs to.

Allow yourself complete permission to drift to sleep.

There is nothing left to do.

Simply surrender.

Surrender.

To the sound and stillness.

You are how.

Rest now.

Release.

This moment is a return to your authentic.

As you feel ready,

Begin to bring to mind our anchoring mantra.

Shantivayu.

The breath of peace.

The wind of tranquility.

You are requesting that the life-giving force of your breath move into a state of profound inner peace,

Stability,

And calm.

It is a highly intentional instruction for the nervous system to slow down.

Beginning with your next inhale,

Mentally repeat the word Shanti.

Then on the exhale,

Mentally repeat the word Vayu.

Feeling the stretch.

Vayu.

Inhaling Shanti.

Inhaling Shanti.

Exhaling Vayu.

Inhaling Shanti.

Inhaling Shanti.
