So without further ado,
Find yourself in a comfortable position.
You can do this practice lying down,
Sitting down.
And let's just take some time to slow it all.
Lay down in your bed,
Lay down on the floor.
Sit on a chair,
Sit on a block,
Sit on a cushion,
Sit on the floor.
And rest your hands gently on your lap,
Or if you're lying down,
Gently on the sides.
And what I want you to do now is I want you to focus on a point in front.
Whatever it is,
Just pick it up.
And what I want you to do is to say out loud to yourself what it is and where you are.
So for me,
I'm looking at this button in the reflection in the mirror.
And I'm in Lusaka.
And just allow that simple,
Straightforward phrase to really bring you into the present moment.
And allow your breath to do its thing,
Allow your breath to be in its cadence,
In its rhythm.
Just focus on that point.
You are fully and completely focused and present.
Just allow that for this moment.
Let the day,
The week slip away.
And allow yourself this time.
What we're going to do now is we're going to take two deliberate breaths and inhale through the nose and then exhale through the mouth.
And on the second exhale,
We're going to slowly,
Gently close our eyes.
So inhale together through the nose.
Exhale through the mouth.
Now let us bring focus to the breath.
With your eyes closed,
Take a deep breath in through your nose and hold it at the top.
And then let out a long,
Gentle sigh.
Exhale.
Once again,
Inhale through the nose.
Hold it.
And a long,
Gentle sigh.
And allow your breath to just focus you in.
Bring your full attention to it now.
And feel the gentle flow in and flow out.
The exhale.
Feel the steadiness of the ground beneath you.
With every breath,
Let's grow,
Let's create and grow a space of intention for the day,
The weekend ahead of us.
And affirmations are powerful reminders that connect us to our truest selves,
