Meditation Timer OnlineTara Lemerise began practicing yoga in 1999 and has been teaching since 2005. Tara's more than 12,000 hours of teaching is informed by many different teachers and traditions including Anusara, Iyengar, and Kriya Yoga. She is currently studying biomechanics with Jules Mitchell and Sanskrit with Dr. Antonia Ruppell. Students who study with Tara appreciate: Dogma free authenticity in harmony with honor for tradition. Joyful and compassionate teachings offered by a well-travelled guide, not by an authoritarian who promises all of the right answers. The feeling of empowerment and fortification, even when (or especially when!) they are lying around on a pile of props. Relatable stories rooted in yoga tradition that feel relevant to everyday life. A clear, encouraging, light-hearted yet studious approach to yoga. Action-based instructions in posture practice that are informed by anatomy, kinesiology, and biomechanics. Outside of yoga, you will find Tara wearing jeans, reading novels, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and spending time in the city with her partner Melody.
