Hi everyone,
This is Stephanie Boxerbaum.
Thank you so much for meditating with me today.
For today's practice,
We're going to be doing a trust your confidence self meditation practice.
So just to share a few thoughts on trusting your confidence.
One thing to explore is zooming out your perspective when it comes to confidence.
Oftentimes we are driven by the external idea,
You know,
Something happens or you get this job or this call or this external thing that helps to really boost your confidence.
And in this practice,
The idea is to remind ourselves that you are a confident being all the time.
You have a present nature of confidence that no one can shake.
And even though things may happen in life that,
You know,
May question this for you in this practice,
We really want to be well resourced.
So we explore what are the things that may impact our confidence and get curious about it.
So it doesn't have to be an immediate answer.
It's more just if let's say there's something that,
You know,
Kind of gets you down or impacts your ability to feel confident instead of kind of running away from that or staying in kind of this if only mindset,
Right?
If only this happened,
If only that happened,
I'd feel confident.
It's really about starting from the beginning and planting that seed to have the confidence no matter what.
Now I'm not saying it's an easy thing.
It's not about being aspirational or,
Oh,
Life is so perfect and I just feel confident all the time.
It's not so much about that,
But it's recognizing that we don't want to be yanked around by all of our external circumstances.
We want to be able to practice our confident nature really no matter where we are and no matter what we're dealing with.
And that can be a step by step process.
It doesn't have to be an immediate answer.
So on that note,
Finding a calm,
Easy posture,
Whether that's laying down,
If it's sitting up,
It's really about finding a comfortable space and place to be in and gently closing your eyes,
Taking a gentle breath in and a deep exhale out.
And doing that once more,
Gentle inhale in and a deep exhale out.
Letting go of whatever you were doing before this and whatever you're going to do after.
And just allowing the mind to settle.
I'll watch our time here.
And let's just take a few moments to get centered with the breath,
Letting the body have some ease.
And knowing that thoughts may come in and out,
And that's totally okay.
Just letting the thoughts go by like clouds.
And just coming into this present moment as you are fully accepted as you are right now in this moment.
And on this next inhale in and gentle exhale out,
Let's add a little bit of confidence to our body scan today.
So beginning to sense into the feet,
The knees,
The thighs,
Filling each space and place with some confident energy.
And finding what feels good to you.
Moving up to the stomach and the heart space.
And sensing into what does confidence feel like when we have a confident heart.
When we really can sense into our confident nature.
And if that feels challenging today,
That's completely okay.
This is a very non-judgmental space and practice,
So we welcome all feelings.
Maybe you're feeling a little tender today,
And that's okay too.
Gently putting some energy and attention into the hands,
The elbows,
The shoulders,
Just sensing into some confident energy throughout the arms.
Moving up to the neck,
The face,
The top of the head,
And thinking about how it feels to confidently speak up.
Maybe this is something you do all the time.
Maybe it's something that's a little challenging.
We just want to get curious.
We want to be able to open ourselves up to this idea that we can befriend our confident self.
It is not something that we need someone else or something else to validate.
Breathing in and gently breathing out.
We'll do a little bit of a confident self-compassion practice.
And you can pick the phrase that resonates,
Whether it's,
I am confident,
Or perhaps it's,
May I feel confidence.
This phrase can change on any given day.
The idea here is we want to cultivate this sense within us that regardless of what else is happening,
We can always touch back into this confident place.
So I'll watch our time here as we practice with these phrases.
Knowing you may have thoughts that come up and that's completely okay,
Just letting the thoughts go by like clouds.
And coming back to this phrase,
I am confident.
Or if what resonates today is may I feel confident,
We can go with that too.
On this next gentle inhale in and a deep exhale out.
Beginning to thank yourself for taking this time to get still.
To continue building this peace of mind.
Gently wiggling your fingers and toes coming back to your surroundings.
And as always,
I share the kind reminder with you that all is enough as is.
And when you're ready,
You can gently open your eyes.
Thank you so much for meditating with me today and I hope to meditate again with you soon.
