Hi,
This is Stephanie Boxer Baum.
Thank you so much for meditating with me today.
Now for this meditation,
This is a on-the-go,
When you are ready to travel meditation or even if you're sitting on the plane and you want something to help kind of just ease and calm your mind,
This is a good practice to integrate into all the travel activities.
Now for some of us,
Travel is super easy.
We feel really relaxed and for others,
Travel just brings up,
You know,
A lot of things.
Maybe it's the flying,
Maybe it's the packing,
Whatever it is.
We meet our travel self with compassion without judgment and this is just a quick little easy practice if you're needing some grounding,
You're needing some getting centered,
If you are headed on a travel adventure.
So with that being said,
Gently close your eyes,
Taking a gentle breath in and a deep breath out,
Letting go of whatever you were doing before this and whatever you will do after and just allowing the body to settle.
If the mind feels a bit restless or your thoughts are kind of coming in and out,
That's totally okay.
We can use some compassionate touch,
Maybe if you feel like holding your hands together or putting a hand on your leg or your arm or your stomach,
Whatever kind of feels comfortable.
And we're just allowing some ease.
Travel doesn't necessarily have to be something that can get our mind going.
We can just take everything one step at a time,
Maybe planting the seed for some excitement for wherever you will be going.
And if this is more of a challenging trip,
Knowing that you can take this practice with you,
Allowing for a sense of ease and grounding,
No matter where you are,
This steadiness,
This sense of spaciousness,
We can bring it in as a foundation.
So wherever you are on your traveling journey,
We can touch back into this place of grounding.
Gentle breathing in,
Gentle breathing out.
So even if your world around you is hustling and bustling with travel energy,
You can come back to a calm,
Grounded place.
And for these next few minutes,
Let's just practice with the phrase may I stay grounded.
May I stay grounded.
And if that word doesn't resonate for you today,
That's totally okay.
You can pick a new phrase.
The idea here is what does this center pole feel like?
A place you can come back to anytime on your traveling journeys to remind yourself that all is steady,
All is centered,
And you are like the mountain.
Steady in the ground,
And can handle whatever comes your way.
So sharing this invitation to pick a phrase that resonates and will rest here for these next few moments.
On your next deep inhale in and exhale out,
Just resting in this place of centered awareness and beginning to come back to your surroundings,
Wiggling your fingers and toes and knowing that no matter what happens in your day,
This sense of grounded,
Centered,
Spaciousness,
Energy,
It can always be here for you.
And sharing a reminder as I always do,
Reminding yourself that all is enough as is.
Thank you for meditating with me today and I hope to meditate again with you soon.
