Hi,
This is Stephanie Boxerbaum.
Thank you so much for meditating with me today.
For today's practice,
We're going to be doing an easy go to sleep practice.
This practice is designed to allow you to just simply relax,
Let go of the thinking,
Find some space in your body.
And whether you drift off to sleep is up to you,
Of course.
This is really just to allow the mind and body to settle.
So coming to an easy posture,
Whatever that feels like today for you,
Maybe that's laying down,
Getting a warm blanket,
Or if it's in the summertime months,
Finding a place that feels cool.
Taking a gentle breath in and a deep breath out.
Letting go of whatever you were doing before this and letting go of whatever you're doing after this.
Bringing the heart,
The mind,
And the body to a place of rest.
Letting go of the mental chatter and bringing our attention to the bottoms of our feet.
Letting go of any tension in the feet,
The legs,
The stomach,
Arms,
Head.
Maybe wiggling your fingers just a little bit.
Just letting go of any tension you may be feeling in the body,
The best that you can.
Finding an easy place to rest.
And we'll practice now just giving yourself the invitation silently to repeat the phrase in your mind,
May I have ease.
May I have ease.
And we use this phrase as a well-wishing,
Allowing ourselves to bring in more ease in the body.
This kind,
Gentle reminder to have ease,
To have peace,
Breathing in love,
Exhaling calm,
Breathing in love,
Exhaling calm,
Letting the breath gently flow,
Letting the body settle the best you can.
And we'll stay here for these next few moments,
Just allowing yourself to let go.
You don't have anywhere else you need to be.
You don't have anywhere else you need to go.
This is much well-deserved rest.
All is enough as is right now.
Taking another gentle inhale in and a deep exhale out.
Just checking in with yourself.
Is there anywhere else in the body where you can find some deeper rest,
Deeper relaxation?
Sending that gentle care,
That gentle reminder that all is enough as is.
Allowing ease,
Allowing peace,
And adding in some kindness.
Inviting you to add in the phrase,
May I be kind to myself.
As I begin to drift off to sleep,
May I be kind to myself.
Just allowing this deep care to wash over you.
Knowing again that all is enough as is.
And bringing in that sense of ease throughout the body,
Throughout the heart,
Throughout the mind.
For these next few moments,
Just continuing to rest here.
Bringing in a caring and comforting energy.
Letting the body rest.
Letting the body find some ease.
On this next deep inhale in and gentle exhale out.
Trusting the night ahead will allow you to have some space,
Some calm,
Some quiet.
And sharing that always important reminder that all is enough as is.
You are enough as is right now in this moment.
Thank you so much for meditating with me and I hope to be meditating again with you soon.
