Hi,

This is Stephanie Boxer Baum.

Thank you so much for meditating with me today.

For today's practice,

We're going to be doing a butterfly evening meditation practice.

Now,

Maybe a butterfly isn't something you resonate with,

Or you've never really thought about thinking of a butterfly at night.

But we can always come to our meditation with curiosity and an open heart and an open mind.

So having said that,

Coming to a comfortable seat,

Or maybe you want to lay down,

You know,

I love to always say that I'm a big believer that it's okay to feel comfortable while meditating.

Really just finding whatever comfortable space works for you.

Taking a gentle breath in and a deep exhale out.

Letting go of whatever you were doing before this,

Whatever you're doing after.

Just coming into the present moment.

Allowing the body to gently settle.

Allowing yourself to gently settle.

Picking an anchor of your choosing.

So this could be sound,

It could be breath,

It could be the weight of your body on your cushion.

It's just a place to come back to.

Letting the mind settle.

On this next deep inhale,

Envisioning a butterfly.

Maybe it's a small butterfly or a big one.

Maybe it's multicolored.

Just gently noticing,

Where do you see this butterfly?

What's their environment?

By the mountains or the ocean?

Just noticing what you feel in the body.

As you consider the beauty of the butterfly,

Where it's flying,

It's completely okay if thinking about a butterfly doesn't resonate today,

Then we can notice that.

Just allowing the mind to settle on this butterfly energy.

The ease,

The steady flying of the wings,

The limitless space.

And just infusing that energy in your own body here and right now.

It's okay if the mind gets distracted.

Just coming back to this energy of the butterfly that you're envisioning.

I'll watch our time here.

Just really cultivating this sense of soaring.

Where in your life you want more of this type of energy?

How you want to be feeling?

In flow?

In presence?

And using the energy of this butterfly to carry you there.

Deeply breathing in and exhaling out.

Just touching into how you're feeling right now.

Similar to the butterfly soaring through the sky.

Just exploring.

Where do I want more support right now?

Where do I want more support right now?

Maybe it's a conversation you need to have.

Maybe it's just some general support of yourself.

And thinking about the butterfly that just flies wherever it wants,

However it wants.

Maybe coming close to your hand and leaning again.

There's a confidence.

There's a confidence that you can bring to yourself at any time,

At any point.

Just keeping this continuity of attention.

Breathing in.

Exhaling out.

And just reminding yourself of the confident person that you are or want to be.

I'll watch our time here.

Just allowing yourself to rest in this energy,

Knowing that you can be all that you want.

And your practice is here to support you.

Beginning to take another inhale in and a deep exhale out.

Wiggling your fingers and toes.

Coming back to your surroundings.

And as always,

I share the reminder that you are always enough as is.

And taking with you tonight,

Whether it's energy from the butterfly,

Or energy from yourself,

Or whatever resonates,

That kind reminder that you can do and achieve whatever it is that you want.

Thank you again for meditating with me,

And I hope to meditate again with you soon.
