Welcome beautiful human.
You are so welcome here.
My name is Stella Billery.
I'm a senior occupational therapist and a teacher of movement and meditation.
And this is a short meditation to either start or finish your day that can be practiced anywhere.
So let's begin.
You're invited to find a comfortable position with your body that might be lying down or seated and you could close the eyes if you're in a position to close them and it's safe enough to do so.
The invitation is to notice the breath,
The breath that's already here as it appears in your body.
And you might find it useful to bring a hand onto the heart or hand onto the belly.
Always negotiating consent with yourself first and foremost.
Breathing through the nose if that's available to you.
Relinquishing the need to control the breath.
Knowing that your body in its infinite wisdom knows how to breathe the breath.
Noticing the parts of your body,
Your torso that are touched by the inhalation.
And likewise,
Noticing where the torso moves as you exhale.
Continuing.
Very curious now about the space or the pause just at the end of the inhale.
And likewise,
Noticing the little pause at the end of the exhalation.
A reminder that everything works in cycles.
Beginnings melting into endings.
And endings,
The start of new beginnings.
See if you can allow some space around the navel to receive the inhale.
Starting to deepen the breath.
And we'll take three more full,
Nourishing,
Silent rounds of breath here.
Allowing the pause or the punctuations to become part of the observation.
And after your next exhale,
Just letting go of all control.
All the focus.
Sensing how you feel in your body.
And as you're ready to,
Bringing your awareness back to your body.
And back to the space around you.
Thank you so much for joining.
Wishing you a beautiful day.
