Hello,

Welcome to this Insight Timer session.

I'm Steph Zbihowski,

I am a coach and trainer and I own a company called Your Unlimited Potential.

Today let's explore the subject of stress.

A familiar companion in our high-speed world we often accept it as part of our life.

Emotionally draining and physically taxing.

So let's unravel a little of its nature and consider a new perspective.

What if stress is not an external force but an experience created in our own mind.

I'd like to do a little breathing exercise first.

Find a comfortable space,

Close your eyes and let's begin with a few deep breaths.

Inhale positivity,

Now exhale tension.

Feel the rhythm of your breath grounding yourself in the present moment.

So stress is everywhere,

We all feel it,

But what if stress is created by our thinking about a situation or person,

Not the situation itself.

Here is the game-changer.

If stress is an experience created by our minds,

We're not stuck with it.

What if we could navigate our agitated thoughts and find a different way to relate to them.

Consider hunger for a moment.

It is a thought that just pops up.

It's not actually an external force making you hungry.

Similarly stress is a feeling fueled by our thoughts.

Now a brief guided meditation.

Find a comfortable posture and let your attention rest on your breath.

Imagine stress as a fluctuating state of mind,

A storm that comes and goes.

Breathe and let the storm of stress dissipate,

Leaving behind a clear as we return.

Consider that stress isn't unavoidable.

It's a fluctuating state of mind we create and the mind is built to always eventually return us to balance.

If we leave it alone.

Achieving a clear calm mind is within your power.

Experiment with this understanding.

Challenge the assumption that stress is inevitable.

It's more optional than you might have thought.

In conclusion,

Stress is not an external force we're stuck with.

It is a fluctuating state of mind.

Achieving a clear calm mind is within your power.

Thanks for joining this Insight Timer session.

May your journey to a stress-free mind be filled with moments of clarity and ease.
