Simply entering ourselves through a little guided meditation,
It doesn't have to take long to land within ourselves.
Because as we know,
We're always and already here.
Use the breath as the anchor that brings us into the body,
Into presence,
Into just this,
This moment,
This breath.
This life.
This life that is only ever happening in the now.
This life that is a journey of nows.
Life is only and always now plus now plus now ad infinitum.
And so to come out of the thought stream,
That endless mind stream of thoughts,
I invite you to close your eyes if that's comfortable for you.
And bring your light of awareness to the breath.
Giving your attention to the inhale,
Blowing up the belly like a big balloon and squeezing the belly on the exhale.
It's in that long exhale that our nervous system is invited to rest,
Relax,
Restore.
Telling our bodies that we're safe leads to telling our minds that we're safe.
Leads to our being right here,
Right now.
And if you find your mind distracted going back into thought,
Simply invite yourself back to the breath.
Remembering that peace is this moment without judgment.
So we simply invite ourselves back to the inhale and we can ask our mind to say,
Breathing in,
I know I am breathing in.
Breathing out,
I know I am safe.
And before coming back into the space of all the visual and auditory stimulation of life,
Let's do a little check in with ourselves.
A little screenshot of our emotional landscape,
Our mental landscape in this moment.
How are you?
What is here?
Is something missing?
Or can you land in the completeness of this moment?
Peace is this moment without judgment,
Just as it is.
Bringing in the beautiful calligraphy from Thich Nhat Hanh who wrote,
This is it.
This is it.
Life is nowhere else but here and now.
Taking one more deep conscious inhale,
Long relaxed exhale.
And whenever you're ready,
I invite you to open your eyes and take in this life.
Colors,
Shapes,
Shadows,
Perhaps people in your space.
Embracing it all with a beginner's mind.
This is it.
And let this be enough.
