Welcome,
Friends,
And thank you for taking the time to meet yourself here.
I'm Soul Surgeon Dr.
Tami and this meditation,
Everything Changes and That's Okay,
Is an invitation to soften into the truth of impermanence.
Together,
Let's explore how to find steadiness in the midst of life's continual unfolding and to trust that even as things change,
You are always held in awareness.
Let's begin.
Wherever you are,
Take a moment to arrive.
Taking a slow,
Steady breath in and a long,
Easy breath out.
Letting yourself arrive into this moment.
Releasing the one that just passed and the one waiting ahead.
Just this.
This moment.
Let your body settle wherever you are sitting or laying down.
Feel yourself being held in space effortlessly.
With each exhale,
Feel yourself soften just a little bit more.
Your jaw.
Shoulders.
And melt a little more into the stillness of this moment.
Allow everything that does not need to be carried right now simply to fall away.
There's nothing to fix.
Nothing to do.
Just to be here now.
As you deepen your breath,
Begin to notice the subtle movement of life.
The body gently expanding and contracting with each breath.
The air brushing against your skin.
Sounds around you shifting,
Fading and returning.
Everything is changing moment by moment.
Each breath you take is different from the one before.
Each thought.
Each sensation.
Each heartbeat arises and dissolves.
Change is not something to fight.
Change is life itself.
Without change,
There would be no growth.
No seasons.
And no becoming.
Now gently bring your attention to your body.
Notice sensations as they arise throughout.
Perhaps some warmth.
Maybe tingling.
Pressure.
Or coolness.
Observe how even these bodily sensations are in constant motion.
Appearing.
Shifting.
Changing.
And disappearing.
Allow this truth to wash over you.
The truth that nothing ever stays the same.
Your breath changes.
Your body changes.
The world changes.
And that's okay.
It's in the resistance to change that we struggle.
And so let's practice allowing these changes to be okay.
Just as the tide returns to the shore.
Just as the sun rises after the night.
You too are part of this vast rhythm of transformation.
Perhaps there's something in your life that's changing.
A relationship.
A body.
An identity.
Or maybe a dream.
I invite you to let it into your space in this moment.
And allow yourself to breathe with it.
Notice any parts of you that resists.
Perhaps a tightening in the chest.
Or a whisper that says,
I don't want this to change.
Offer that part of yourself.
Compassion.
Let it be seen.
Let it be held.
Let it be understood.
And as you exhale,
Whisper inwardly,
Everything changes and that's okay.
Perhaps you can glimpse that beneath all change,
There is something unchanging.
It's the awareness that witnesses it all.
It's the awareness that is your true home.
It's this awareness that is unchanging.
And so let's rest here for a few quiet breaths.
Aware of your body.
Aware of your breath.
Aware of the peace that comes when you stop clinging,
When you stop resisting,
And you simply allow change to happen.
Notice that when you invite change into your experience,
It no longer feels like a loss.
It simply feels like movement.
Perhaps like wind through an open window.
Or the river finding its way to sea.
You don't have to control the flow of life.
You only need to trust it.
And as we close this meditation,
Let's take one deep,
Grateful breath in.
And a long,
Releasing breath out.
Perhaps placing a hand on your heart and whispering softly to yourself,
I am changing and I am okay.
Life is changing and that's okay.
Everything changes and that's beautiful.
Feel the truth of those words settle into your body with calm,
Steadiness and kindness.
And when you're ready,
Wiggle your fingers and toes and gently open your eyes.
Taking in the colors,
The light,
The space around you and the quiet miracle of being here.
You are part of this alive,
Evolving change.
Thank you for sharing these moments with me,
Remembering that change is the rhythm of life itself.
Rather than as a disruption,
We see it as part of our journey of becoming.
I hope this practice brought you a little bit of peace today,
Inviting you to return,
Meet me here again.
I'm Dr.
Tami,
Soul Surgeon.
Until next time,
Sending love and peace your way.
