Welcome,
And thank you for taking the time to meet yourself here.
I'm Soul Surgeon Dr.
Tami,
And this meditation,
The Space Between Breaths,
Is an invitation for you to rest in stillness.
In our time together,
You'll rediscover a calm that lives within you.
It's the quiet that lives between one breath and the next.
It's a quiet that doesn't depend on doing anything,
Fixing anything,
Or achieving.
It's the calm that embodies the simple peace of being.
Let's begin.
Wherever you are,
Let's take a moment to arrive.
Let your body settle into a position that feels comfortable,
Sitting or laying down.
Allowing your hands to rest softly,
Palms open,
Ready to receive the next breath.
Gently close your eyes.
Let yourself feel the weight of your body being held by the chair,
The cushion,
The earth.
In this moment,
There is nothing to do,
Nothing to fix,
Nothing to start,
And nothing to finish.
All there is,
Is just this moment,
Just this breath.
Let's take a slow inhale through the nose,
And a gentle exhale through your mouth.
Let your breath be natural,
Not forced or managed,
No judgment or expectation.
Remember that you can't do it wrong.
Simply observe your experience.
Begin to notice the rhythm of your breathing,
The rise and fall of your chest,
Cool air entering,
Warm air leaving.
With each inhale,
Welcome your life,
And with each exhale,
Allow a quiet letting go.
See if you can sense the pause,
That subtle still point at the end of each exhale,
And again at the end of each inhale.
A moment where the breath is neither coming,
Nor going,
And your mind is calm,
Free of thoughts,
Free of ideas,
Free of beliefs.
Don't worry,
If thoughts arise,
Simply bring your awareness back to the breath,
And then follow it to the pause.
Invite yourself to see it as a doorway between doing and being.
I invite you to rest your attention on that quiet space between breaths.
Don't chase it,
Don't judge it,
Don't define it,
Simply let it find you.
It's the space that has always been here,
Before every thought,
Beneath every emotion,
Beyond every story you tell yourself.
If your mind wanders again,
That's okay.
Just notice it with kindness,
Compassion,
And patience.
Every time you return to the breath,
You're returning home,
To the stillness within you,
A living,
Breathing stillness.
Feel the simplicity of this moment.
Inhale.
Pause.
Exhale.
Pause.
Noticing that presence lives within each pause,
And within each stillness lives an ever-present peace.
Now allow the pauses to lengthen naturally,
Not by holding your breath,
But by resting inside the calm that follows each breath.
Sense how vast this calm is.
The space of the pause is not empty.
Sense its fullness,
Full of aliveness,
Awareness,
And possibility.
Here in the pause,
Nothing is missing.
You are not your thoughts,
You are not the roles you play,
And you are not all the striving or doing.
You are simply the quiet awareness that holds it all.
The space between breaths is the same space that holds the stars,
The ocean,
And every heartbeat.
It is the space of your true being,
The space of silence,
Before the mind creates thought.
Allow the breath to return to its natural rhythm,
Feeling your body breathing you.
No effort.
No control.
Simply noticing how the stillness that you touched upon still lingers,
It's still here,
Even as breath and movement return to the body.
This stillness lives inside of you,
Always and already here and available.
The beauty is that you don't have to go anywhere to find it.
It's right here,
This peace,
This calm.
In the space between breaths,
In the space between moments,
In the space between thoughts.
Now,
Take a deep breath in,
And slowly let it go.
Bringing your awareness back to your body,
Back to the contact points where you're supported,
To the sounds around you,
To the aliveness of this moment.
Feel your heart open.
Feel your life right here,
Right now.
This is your invitation to awaken.
I invite you to place a hand on your heart,
And silently repeat,
Peace lives in the space between my breaths.
Let's do it again.
Peace lives in the space between my breaths.
Take another slow inhale,
And as you exhale,
Allow gratitude to flow through your body,
Softening your edges.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes,
Wiggle your toes and fingers,
Moving slowly,
And carry this stillness with you.
Not as something to hold on to,
But as something that you already are.
Thank you for sharing the space between the breaths with me.
Remember,
Peace isn't something you chase.
It's found in the pause.
It's found in the quiet spaces between breaths.
You can return here anytime,
In any moment,
With just one single mindful breath.
If this meditation supported you,
I'd love for you to give it a like,
Favorite,
Or a follow,
So we can continue practicing Presence together.
Thank you for meditating with me.
Until next time,
I'm Dr.
Tami,
Sending love and Presence your way.
