This is a third eye chakra meditation.
The chakra system can be viewed as our spiritual nervous system.
Just like we tune into the physical body for feedback,
We can tune into the chakra system for intuitive guidance and self-care.
The third eye chakra can be found on the forehead,
In between the eyebrows.
It is the sixth chakra and it comes after the throat chakra.
It governs the pituitary and pineal glands,
The eyes,
The skull,
Brain,
And mental processes.
It is typically associated with the color purple and it is connected to the element of light.
The third eye has to do with our psychic power.
It is the seed of intuition and it's driven by openness and the higher self.
It's where we receive information that communicates higher wisdom and insights.
We use the third eye to help guide and inform our decision making.
When out of balance,
We may feel directionless,
Disconnected from our purpose,
And have trouble with trusting our intuition.
When in balance,
We follow our intuitive pulse and are in the flow.
We are aware of ourselves and in sync with the intuitive messages that are whispered in signs,
Symbols,
And hunches that guide us.
We will now begin.
Find a comfortable position for your body.
This can be seated or lying down.
Begin to breathe.
Drop into the center of your chest.
As you breathe in,
Feel your chest,
Rib cage,
And belly expand.
And as you breathe out,
Feel the chest,
Rib cage,
And belly empty.
Feel the rise and fall of your body as you breathe.
With your imagination and your intuitive senses,
Start to connect with your third eye chakra,
Located in between your eyebrows on your forehead.
Allow yourself to connect.
Feel it.
Ask your third eye to reveal anything that needs to be seen,
Heard,
Or held today.
Without any judgment or self-editing,
Be with any information that comes back to you.
You may experience colors,
Emotions,
Memories,
Symbols,
Imagery,
Or physical sensations in the body.
For the next few minutes,
Allow yourself to receive any information that comes forward and keep breathing.
Now,
Ask your third eye chakra if there is anything that is needed from you today.
Sometimes,
It's just about acknowledgement and holding space for the information we receive without any judgment.
Take a breath in and breathe out.
Thank your third eye chakra for a connection today and begin to imagine it filling up with a diamond shimmering light.
Feel it.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Now,
Slowly begin to release your focus on the third eye and come back to your entire body.
Notice your whole body.
Notice any sensations.
Notice the temperature on your skin and be aware of the support beneath you.
You may start to bring in little movements,
Starting with your fingertips and your toes.
Allow your head to move a little from left to right,
Right to left.
And when you are ready,
You can blink your eyes open to the room.
