Hello and welcome to the sailing meditation where we are going to practice the act of self-love.
Self-love is a practice.
It can take time to cultivate this energy,
So be gentle with yourself.
As emotions come up in this course of meditation,
Do your best to acknowledge them without judgment Treat your emotions like clouds passing by.
Notice them or let them pass.
So I would like to connect and settle into our bodies,
So begin by finding a comfortable position,
Making your final adjustments and relaxing,
Knowing that you are here in this present moment and in exactly where you need to be.
Now focus on your breathing.
What does your breath feel like?
Keep breathing and noticing how your body rises and slowly exhaling and falls.
Notice how it enters your entire energetic body,
This life force energy.
I would like you to connect with your body and do a scan.
The scan is going to relax any tension that you may be carrying.
Notice how your shoulders or your back or your jaw feels.
For many people,
Those are the areas that tend to hold tension,
So I invite you to release this with each breath that you take dropping more into relaxation,
Knowing that you are safe in this moment.
Don't worry if your mind starts to wander.
Gently bring your attention back to your breath and to the feeling of the warmth and self-love as you continue to take slow,
Deep breaths.
Now repeat the following self-love affirmations slowly and with sovereignty and intention.
In every way,
I am already enough.
I choose to cultivate positive thoughts about myself.
I am allowed to have needs and express them.
I choose to be kind to myself.
I love who I used to be,
Who I am,
And who I am becoming.
Rather than follow the expectations of others,
I choose the path that's right for me.
When I look back on the past version of myself,
I feel warmth and gratitude for those lessons.
Taking time for self-care is not the same as being selfish.
My own approval is worth more than any other approval from others.
When I look at my life,
It's incredible how much I've grown.
I walk through the world feeling loved by myself and by others.
I'm allowed to set boundaries and expect others to follow them.
My voice deserves to be heard,
And my feelings deserve to be shared.
I am worthy of forgiveness,
And I choose to forgive myself and others.
Although I've made mistakes,
They don't define who I am.
I have something of value to give to this world just by being me.
I notice what feels like an obligation in my life,
And I release myself from that.
I know that the universe has always supported me,
And I trust and surrender to the divine.
And when you are ready,
You may open your eyes and come back into the present moment,
And just notice how good you feel for showing up and putting yourself first,
Cultivating this awareness.
Bring these feelings of self-love with you throughout the day,
And remember you can go back to these affirmations anytime you would like.
