Hi everyone!
Welcome and thank you for joining me today.
My name is Shannon.
I'm a certified
mindfulness teacher,
A Reiki energy healer,
And a mental health advocate.
My pronouns are she and
her.
I'm coming to you from Campbell River,
British Columbia,
Canada,
And I acknowledge
that this is the unceded traditional territory of the Lekwuna people,
The We Wekai,
The We Wekum,
And Kaweka First Nations.
Thank you for allowing us to reside and thrive here.
Today we will
explore the practice of embracing change with compassion and love.
Change is a natural part
of life,
Often bringing uncertainty and fear.
However,
We can navigate these changes with
greater ease and grace by cultivating compassion and love towards ourselves and others.
Let's begin.
I invite you to find a comfortable position where you will not be disturbed for the duration of
this session.
This may be setting up or lying down.
Whatever feels most comfortable for you at this
moment.
Please gently close your eyes and bring your attention to your breath.
Take a few deep
breaths here.
Inhaling deeply through your nose and exhaling slowly through your mouth.
Feel the rhythm of your breath as you breathe in and out.
Allow your body to become more relaxed with each exhale.
As you continue breathing,
I invite you to imagine roots extending from your body into the earth,
Grounding and anchoring you into the present moment.
I invite you to bring your attention
to any emotions or thoughts you have about the changes in your life.
Instead of resisting or judging these feelings,
Approach them with compassion.
Embrace them as natural responses to the ever-changing nature of life.
I invite you to repeat this phrase to yourself.
I offer myself compassion in times of change.
It's okay to feel uncertain or afraid.
I'm allowed to feel whatever emotions arise and I offer myself the love and support I need.
I offer myself compassion in times of change.
It's okay to feel uncertain or afraid.
I'm allowed to feel whatever emotions arise and I offer myself the love and support I need.
Now picture yourself surrounded by a warm loving light.
Imagine this light enveloping you completely,
Embracing you with tenderness and understanding.
Repeat the following affirmations silently or aloud.
I am worthy of love and kindness no matter what changes come my way.
I trust in my ability to adapt and grow.
I am resilient and I embrace myself with love through all transitions.
I am worthy of love and kindness no matter what changes come my way.
I trust in my ability to adapt and grow.
I am resilient and I embrace myself with love through all transitions.
Now I invite you to think of someone you know who is also experiencing change or
facing challenges in their lives at the moment.
Send them loving thoughts and compassion.
Imagine a gentle golden light surrounding them,
Providing them comfort and support.
Repeat these phrases.
May you be free from suffering.
May you navigate through change with grace and strength.
May you find the love and support you need during this time.
May you be free from suffering.
May you navigate through change with grace and strength.
May you find the love and support you need during this time.
Now reflect on the impermanence of life and how change is an integral part of the human experience.
Rather than clinging to what was or fearing the unknown,
Embrace the beauty of impermanence.
Repeat these sentences after me.
I embrace the ebb and flow of life.
Change brings growth and new opportunities.
I am open to the lessons and gifts that change brings.
Take a moment to acknowledge yourself for showing up with compassion and love during this meditation.
Gradually,
You will be able to see the beauty of life.
You will be able to see the beauty of life.
You will be able to see the beauty of life.
You will be able to see the beauty of life.
Gradually bring your awareness back to your breath,
Feeling the gentle rise and fall of your chest.
When you are ready,
Open your eyes
and take in your surroundings with fresh eyes,
Appreciating this moment that you are in right now.
I invite you to share in a gesture of gratitude that works for you,
That can be hands to your heart,
Hands together in prayer,
Or touching the earth on which you practice.
I thank you for taking this time for yourself today
and for practicing with me.
Namaste.
