This is a trauma-informed practice of noticing our thoughts and re-directing our attention back to the present moment through anchors. We work to acknowledge the difference between our work of perception via thoughts and direct experience. It is acknowledged that emotions and sensations may come alongside thoughts, and if emotions and sensations become too difficult to sit with, you are reminded to choose an anchor to rest on.
