Welcome to this winter snowflake meditation where we connect to the serenity and unique beauty of each falling snowflake,

Helping any tension in our body to melt away,

Connecting to the calm stillness within.

So I invite you to find a comfortable position for your body,

Whether that's lying down or seated,

And take a lovely grounding breath.

Feel yourself arrive into this present moment.

Feel your feet connected to the surface beneath them.

See if you can drop your shoulders down away from your ears,

Soften through your jaw and allow your body to ease into this space.

If you wish to close your eyes you are welcome to do so,

Or just soften your gaze.

And I invite you to turn slowly inwards using our breath as our guide,

Tuning into the feeling and journey of our breath,

Its fullness as we inhale into our body and the release we can feel as we exhale.

See if you can allow your attention to rest upon your breath just for a few moments,

Noticing the air as it flows all the way into your body and the release as you exhale all the way to the end of that out-breath.

Noticing if there's a pause between each breath.

Noticing if there's a pause at the end of your inhale before you begin to exhale.

Just paying attention to each breath moment by moment.

I now invite you to imagine a beautiful winter scene before you.

Snow that has fallen upon the ground like powdered sugar,

The sky a bright crystal blue.

Imagine the cool crispness of the air in your lungs.

Imagine feeling the warmth of your winter clothes against your skin and wrapping yourself in a warm blanket for comfort and perhaps taking a seat outside as you take in this beautiful winter scene.

How nature has been kissed with snowflakes and as you glance up to the sky you watch as more tiny snowflakes begin their waltz from the clouds to the ground.

Imagine watching as different shapes and sizes of snowflakes twirl their way all the way down to the earth.

Perhaps you notice how some snowflakes land upon a leaf retaining their form,

Their unique individual beauty.

If we can see the beauty in a single snowflake imagine all the beauty you could find within yourself.

Perhaps some of the snowflakes land on a surface and melt away highlighting the fragility of each snowflake making their beauty even more precious to our eyes.

I now invite you to imagine that each individual snowflake holds a world of calm peace and serenity within its form.

As your head glances up towards the sky a snowflake lands upon your forehead.

You may feel that cool touch against your skin but as your warmth begins to melt the snowflake you feel those qualities of calm peace and serenity begin to emanate throughout your body.

More snowflakes begin to land on your body.

They fall upon your shoulders next.

Imagine as the warmth of your body melts their coolness.

You feel the softness begin to release any tension in your shoulders flowing all the way down your arms to your fingertips.

You then feel a snowflake land upon your heart center.

A healing touch to your heart.

An embrace of compassion to your soul.

Notice these sensations flowing through your body.

You now notice the snowflakes full of peace calm and serenity landing upon your legs and flowing all the way down to your ankles,

Your toes creating a sense of lightness within your body.

As more snowflakes begin to fall just notice your body in a calm relaxed state easing into this moment.

Each snowflake bringing this sense of wonder,

Of peace connecting to the warmth of your body.

We feel this emanating throughout the whole of our being.

Each snowflake may remain with us for only a few moments before it melts away back into the cycle of the earth.

But each snowflake contains an individual beauty,

A fragility that we may connect to.

A reminder of the precious moments that we enjoy with every breath,

Every heartbeat.

Just taking a few moments here in stillness and now gently returning to your breath taking a beautiful inhale and a slow exhale.

Letting the vision of the winter scene fade in your mind and becoming aware of the space around you once again.

Feeling your feet upon the surface,

Noticing the sounds around you and beginning to blink open your eyes if you are ready.
