Welcome to your beautiful life meditation on prioritizing your happiness and putting yourself forward.
This is Sarah and I'll be guiding you for the next few minutes.
Okay beauty,
Let's start with getting into a comfortable position sitting or laying down.
Now's the time to move a little,
Get yourself situated,
Try to get your fidgets out and move into relaxation.
Please rest your hands comfortably in your lap and blink your gorgeous eyes closed.
Okay,
Let's begin by taking a big cleansing breath to ground here into this moment and into this sacred space that you're dedicating to yourself.
Let all the air fall out of your lungs.
Now deep breath in,
Hold that breath and release out with an audible sigh.
One more,
Just like that and it's okay to release and move your shoulders with this one.
Deep breath in,
Hold it,
Sigh it out.
Now let your breathing be natural and do whatever feels good.
If you prefer to take long deep deliberate breaths,
Please do so or you can breathe naturally without putting any of your attention there.
Now that you're present in this space,
I want you to tune into how you're feeling,
Not in this moment per se but big picture.
How is life feeling for you?
Sit in that for a moment.
How do you feel about the person that you've become?
How do you feel about the life that you're living?
How do you feel about your level of happiness?
How do you feel about the way that you prioritize yourself among everything else in your life?
How do you feel about the way you take care of yourself?
Do you ever feel like you're taking care of everyone and everything else before yourself if you even get to yourself at all?
You're such a kind and generous person with a huge heart.
I know how thoughtful you are and that you get great joy out of taking care of those around you.
At the same time,
You can't take care of your loved ones very well if you're worn out and not feeling taken care of yourself.
When you're tired and resentful,
You show up in one way.
Imagine that now.
Imagine how you show up to your loved ones when you're tired and resentful.
When you're energetic and feeling taken care of yourself,
Think about how you show up.
I'll give you a minute to compare and contrast those two different ways that you show up in life.
It's quite a difference,
Right?
Which of those two versions of yourself do you imagine those around you prefer?
There's no doubt about that choice.
But do you feel guilty when you do something for yourself,
Like buy something for yourself,
Go somewhere where you want to go,
Or even just be with yourself for a few minutes?
Guilt is a feeling rooted in unworthiness,
A feeling that you don't deserve.
My sweet friend,
If you feel guilty taking care of yourself,
Why do you feel like you're not worthy of those things?
You want those things for your loved ones,
Don't you?
Why wouldn't you deserve the same?
You deserve to feel worthy and that you matter.
You deserve to feel cherished.
You deserve to feel taken care of.
It's your divine birthright.
And the divine will help you make that possible.
You see,
The divine gave you everything that you need to create these feelings yourself.
You don't have to be dependent upon others to feel worthy,
To feel that you matter,
To feel cherished,
To feel taken care of.
But you do have to allow the reception of your divine birthrights.
You have to stop denying it and pushing it away.
It's waiting for you,
Ready to wrap you in beautiful,
Soft,
Golden light.
And when you start treating yourself with a high regard,
No longer are you dependent upon the outside world for your happiness.
You have the power to create your own happiness.
You also set the bar for all of your relationships.
If you insist that you're not worthy of receiving happiness and beautiful treatment,
You'll inevitably populate your life with those who agree.
If,
On the other hand,
You insist that you are worthy and you treat yourself with the most precious love and respect,
You'll attract others who will treat you that way.
And you will teach others to treat you that way.
There's no tiara or prize to be won for going without.
You don't have to go without.
And starting to treat yourself with the love and respect that you deserve is the starting place for all of this.
It's not selfish.
It's not self-indulgent.
And who cares if other people judge you?
This is about taking care of you,
Taking care of your needs,
Giving you the energy and the replenishment that you need to live the kind of life that you want and to love those people around you.
The time has come to reenter the world again,
But this time as a different woman than you were before this meditation.
You've given yourself this beautiful gift of calming your nervous system.
You've created the ability for more focus and concentration for the rest of the day.
You've slowed aging and most importantly increased your happiness.
Please take a deep breath in through your nose and hold it.
And softly release it and let it flow past your pretty lips.
One more like that.
In through your nose.
Hold and softly out your lips.
Blink your eyes open and bring your awareness back into the world and head back into your day with this renewed love and regard for your amazing self.
And remember that you are worthy and you are loved.
