Today we're going to journey into a lush,
Fertile forest.
Somewhere warm,
Where you can be alive and present,
Leaving all the pressures of life behind.
First,
Let's get comfortable.
If you're sitting,
Sit a little higher,
Straightening your back.
If you're lying,
Shift so your lower back is open and your shoulders are wide.
Close your eyes and enter your inner world.
Notice how your breath rises and falls.
Feel it in your chest.
Then feel it in your belly.
Feel those muscles in your belly give way and relax,
Letting you into the moment.
Now see the lush rainforest spring up around you.
Let it paint over your inner world in jade green,
Warm brown,
And deep emerald,
Lit up by shafts of sunlight from above.
Then see that image come to life.
The leaves around you are moving,
And the canopy above you is gently waving as a breeze blows the trees.
And hear the sounds of the forest,
The trilling calls of birds,
The noises of animals and insects going about their lives,
Leaving you to enjoy being present.
Notice the scent of the rainforest.
Notice the musty,
Warm,
Full smell of the leaves mulching down,
Giving life back to the ground as nature gives and receives.
In your mind,
Crouch down and run your fingers through the mulch.
Feel its warmth,
Its fibrousness,
Softness.
Sink your fingertips down into the soft,
Springy cover.
Now move from your crouch to lie on the forest floor,
Imagining a soft blanket beneath you,
Cradling you.
Raise your face to the canopy above you,
And feel the warm air on your cheeks,
On your arms,
Cocooning you,
Reminding you of your inner wholeness.
Your true presence.
When you're ready,
In your mind,
Slowly sit up.
Have a good stretch.
Maybe you could do that in real life as well.
Now we're going to come back from the forest.
Notice the smells and the sounds slowly fade away.
Notice the sounds and smells around you in the room.
Open your eyes and let the room around you come into focus.
Notice that it too is vibrant and alive,
And that you are present.
Thank you so much for refreshing yourself with me today.
Enjoy being here in your world,
And have a wonderful day.
