Today we're going to focus on the strength that we can draw from the earth and how we are of the earth.

We're part of this world and it fills us with strength.

This guided practice is perfect for when you're feeling drained or tired out.

It will help you connect with the fact that you're just one small piece of something much larger,

Something enormously powerful.

We're going to use our breath to draw on that energy and visualize that strength coming up from the earth and filling us up.

So sit comfortably or lie down.

Take a moment to become present.

Feel where you make contact with the surface beneath you.

Notice its solidity,

Its size,

Its scale,

Its enormity.

Imagine the vast earth stretching beneath you,

Strong and steady.

Feel the quality of this connection.

Is it soft or firm,

Warm or cool?

Take a moment to sense its grounding presence.

Now recognize that you are just a part of this great big whole.

You are of it.

You belong to it.

Now we're going to connect with our breathing.

When you're breathing in,

You're going to visualize strength rising up out of the ground and into you,

Like roots drawing nourishment from the soil.

And as you exhale,

You're going to feel that energy flow through your body,

Reaching your fingers and your toes,

Filling you completely.

So take a deep breath in and draw that strength up into you.

And breathing out,

Feel the power running through you.

Inhale and imagine that strength as a warm,

Glowing light,

Golden and vibrant,

Rising up into you.

And exhale,

Letting it spread,

Tingling through your entire being.

Continue with this rhythm.

Inhaling,

Feel that energy rising.

And exhaling,

Letting it flow and suffuse you with vitality.

Maybe there are noises around you,

But instead of distractions,

Let them remind you of the vastness of the world that you're connected to.

The hum of life around you is part of the energy you're drawing in.

Take it in.

Feed upon it.

And maybe you find your attention drifting.

But just guide it back gently to the solidity beneath you.

Return to an awareness of its strength and continue drawing it into you.

Inhale strength and power.

Exhale to feel it running through you.

Inhale nourishment.

Exhale vitality.

When you feel ready,

Begin to let your breath return to its natural rhythm.

Notice the energy still flowing within you,

Alive and present.

Feel the earth beneath you,

Steady and strong,

Always there to support you.

Slowly,

Bring your awareness back to the room around you.

Wiggle your fingers and toes.

Gently stretch,

Feeling the energy coursing through your body.

Take a moment to repeat silently to yourself,

I am strong.

I am grounded.

I am alive.

When you're ready,

Open your eyes and carry this strength with you for the rest of your day.
