Welcome to Pure Life Therapy and this guided meditation for calming the mind so that you can sleep deeply.
Please be sure that you are ready to drift off to sleep at the end of this meditation.
Finding a comfortable position,
Making sure the body is warm or cool,
Whatever it is that is right for you.
When you're ready,
Gently closing the eyes or soften the gaze,
Taking a deep breath in,
Filling your lungs with fresh air.
Exhale slowly,
Releasing any tension,
Repeating this a few times,
Allowing each breath to relax you more and more deeply.
Exhale.
Exhale.
Exhale.
Relaxing more and more.
Now,
When you're ready,
Bringing the awareness to the body,
Feeling the weight of the body sinking into the surface beneath you,
Noticing any points of contact,
The feet,
Arms,
Hips,
Back,
Allowing the surface that you're on to completely support you,
And with each breath sinking more and more into this support.
As you continue to breathe,
Releasing any tension in your muscles,
Feeling a sense of ease spreading through your body like a gentle wave of relaxation,
Allowing the body to become heavy.
Inhale relaxation.
Inhale relax.
Exhale release.
Letting each breath be a soothing wave of relaxation,
Allowing your body to sink deeper and deeper into the bed with each exhale.
As you continue to breathe deeply,
Noticing the sensation of the mattress beneath you supporting your weight,
Feeling the warmth and softness of the sheets or blankets enveloping you,
Providing comfort,
Security.
Now,
If it feels right for you,
Bringing in the power of visualization,
Imagining yourself lying on a soft,
Grassy hill,
Surrounded by the beauty of nature.
Above you,
The sky stretches out endlessly,
Adorned with fluffy white clouds drifting lazily by.
You are warm and comfortable,
Fully relaxed on the soft grass.
As you gaze up at the clouds,
Visualizing your thoughts and worries taking shape and floating up into the sky.
With each exhale,
Watch as these thoughts dissolve into the clouds,
Becoming lighter and lighter until they completely drift away.
As more thoughts fill the mind,
Allowing them to drift into the clouds and drift off into the distance.
Inhale relaxation.
Exhale letting the thoughts go.
Inhale relax.
Exhale allowing the thoughts to drift off.
Exhale letting the thoughts drift off into the horizon.
Feeling a sense of relief as your mind begins to quiet,
The body relaxes further and further into the earth of your grassy hill.
Letting go of any tension in the muscles,
Starting from the toes and working your way up to the crown of the head.
With each breath,
Feeling the body becoming more and more relaxed.
If it feels right to you,
Directing the attention to the feet and on the exhale,
Relax.
Directing the attention to the legs.
Deeply exhale letting go of all tension.
The pelvic region,
Filling it up with relaxing oxygen.
Exhale letting go,
Releasing.
Chest and upper back.
Arms and hands.
Breathing in relaxation.
On the exhale,
Letting go.
Shoulders and neck.
Breathing into this area.
And on the exhale,
Relax.
Eyes.
And on the exhale,
Letting it all go.
The body as a whole.
Breathing in.
Relaxing on the exhale.
Inhale calm.
Exhale letting go of all thoughts.
Allowing the body to relax.
Allowing all thoughts to drift off into the clouds.
Repeating these positive affirmations silently to yourself.
Everything will work out for the best.

I am safe and at peace.

I am safe and at peace.
I have all the strength I need to handle my life.

Feeling these affirmations sinking into your subconscious.
Filling you with confidence and reassurance.
Now,
If it feels right for you.
Imagining the last remnants of anxious thoughts and worries to float away with the clouds.
Leaving you feeling peaceful.
Comfortable.
And safe.
Embracing the tranquility of nature surrounding you.
Knowing that you are supported and cared for.
Taking a few moments to bask in the freedom that comes with peace and calm.
Feeling gratitude for this moment of stillness and serenity.
Carrying this sense of peace with you.
Knowing that you are capable of overcoming any challenges that come your way.
Allowing yourself to surrender to the embrace of sleep.
