Hello,
And welcome to a guided morning meditation,
Cultivating gratitude.
I invite you to find a comfortable position,
Perhaps you are laying in your bed,
Or maybe there's somewhere that you can sit nice and tall,
Rooting down through the sits bone,
Lengthening through the spine,
Feeling your connection to the support beneath you,
Your connection to earth,
And having a sense of gratitude for this support,
For all the comforts that are around you,
Whether it be the warmth of your blankets,
Or the sweet sunlight shining down through a window,
Wherever you are taking in your surroundings in this moment with a sense of gratitude for whatever comforts are here for you.
And as you settle in,
Bring your awareness to your breath,
Taking in deep breaths through the nose.
And as you exhale out the nose or mouth,
Just imagine any tension in the body leaving each exhalation,
Breathing in gratitude,
And releasing any tension.
Now begin reflecting on the simple gift of a new day as we embrace the dawn of all possibilities Bring your awareness to your breath,
Inhale deeply,
Acknowledging the life-giving force within you.
Exhale releasing any negativity with each breath,
Connecting to the present moment.
Becoming aware of all sensations,
Becoming aware of your thoughts,
Emotions,
Becoming aware of this physical vessel,
Your body,
And having gratitude for your body,
Gratitude for your thoughts,
Gratitude for these emotions.
We have these things,
Yet we are not these things.
Now I invite you to think of three things you are grateful for today.
They can be small moments or significant aspects of your life.
Feel the gratitude in your heart for these blessings.
Know that there are no timelines with gratitude.
You can be grateful for something in the past,
Or perhaps you imagine something that you're grateful for in the future,
And seeing yourself grateful for it all now.
Feel the gratitude in your heart for these blessings.
As you continue breathing,
Visualize these blessings surrounding you with a warm golden light.
Let this light expand,
Filling your entire being with gratitude and positivity.
Take a moment to express your appreciation for the opportunities,
Relationships,
And all of the experiences that enrich your life.
Allow this appreciation to grow and expand surrounding your entire being,
And filling your entire body with the vibration of gratitude.
Gratitude magnifies joy,
Taking a moment to relish in joy.
Slowly bring your awareness back to the present moment.
Slowly begin to open your eyes with a sense of childlike wonder,
A sense of curiosity.
As you begin to look around the space,
Having a sense of gratitude for every thing,
Every living thing,
Remembering that you are connected to everyone and everything.
Carry this sense of gratitude with you throughout the day,
Practicing small moments of gratitude at any given time.
May your day be filled with positivity,
Gratitude,
And pure appreciation.
