This is a breathing meditation for the root chakra by Planet and Peace of Mind.
Thank you for being here.
Go ahead and find a comfortable position allowing the entire body to relax lying on the floor or if you prefer you can choose to sit in a chair and find a relaxed position with your hands on your lap or at your side.
Choosing whatever feels best for you.
Taking this time for you to find a comfortable position.
Settling into comfort allow the eyes to close.
This time is for you so you can leave all your worries at the door.
Allow yourself to relax into the flow of this present moment.
Whatever comes easily for you is exactly right.
Focusing on this moment here,
This moment right now.
Not worrying anything about the future or anything from the past.
Focusing on here right now.
Take a moment to notice any sounds you may hear outside the room.
Acknowledge these sounds and then let them go.
Now take notice of any sounds you may hear inside the room with you.
Allow your mind to acknowledge these sounds and then let them go.
Begin to relax your body.
Finding support in the floor under you or the chair or seat behind you.
Let your feet and legs soften as you release tension throughout the muscles.
Rolling the shoulders down and away from the ears.
Releasing tension through your hands.
Allowing your full body to soften and melt into relaxation as you find your comfortable natural position.
Turning your head your attention towards your head and face.
Release tension through the scalp and hair.
Softening through the ears,
The jaw,
The chin.
Relax through the cheeks,
The nose and relieve all tension remaining around the eyes,
Through and between the eyebrows and soften and relax the forehead.
Take a large cleansing breath in and exhale breathing out any remaining tension in your body.
Allow your breathing to find its own natural rhythm.
Releasing all control of it in all ways.
Just observing as you breathe in relaxation and breathe out tension.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Observing the natural rhythm of your breath.
Bring your attention to the base of your spine.
Imagine a warm spiraling red light glowing there.
Notice how it feels and how it looks.
Try to get a sense of how it's functioning.
Observe the swirling and moving.
Feel the warmth that radiates from this light.
As it spirals is it moving quickly or is it spinning in a slow rhythmic pace?
What size is the light?
Return your attention back to the breath.
Breathing in relaxation and breathing out tension.
As you inhale breathe in more warm radiant red light to your root chakra.
Observe as this red glow continues to spread out over your entire body with each breath.
With every inhale you breathe in more warm radiant red light filling your entire body.
Breathing in red light energy.
Breathing out tension.
Inhaling and exhaling.
This red light energy brings you security,
Strength and health.
With each inhale you fill with more warm gentle red light that deeply connects you to the earth's energy.
Rooting you to the earth.
You feel the warm glow as it gently spins and surrounds your body.
Repeat this affirmation in your mind.
I am strong.
I am safe.
I am grounded.
Again repeating this affirmation.
I am strong.
I am safe.
I am grounded.
Breathing in strength.
Breathing out fear.
Breathing in security.
Breathing out doubt.
Breathing in strength.
Breathing out tension.
Repeating your affirmations.
I am strong.
I am safe.
I am grounded.
Remember that at any time you can return to this warm radiating light grounding connecting you to the earth.
Tapping into strength,
Safety,
Security,
And health.
Breathing in security.
Breathing out fear.
Breathing in confidence.
Breathing out doubt.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
You are secure.
You are safe.
You are grounded.
With every inhale imagine the red light swirling and pulsing around your body.
As you exhale lingering tension,
Doubt,
And fear are removed from the body.
Stay here observing the coursing red light as it's connected to your breath as you are connected to the earth.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
You are secure.
You are safe.
You are grounded.
Bring your attention to the red light at the base at the root chakra.
Begin to visualize this light growing smaller spiraling down to its normal size and its normal function.
Take a moment and repeat to yourself in your mind,
My root chakra is working at normal function.
I now have a balanced approach to meeting my earthly needs.
My needs are taken care of.
I am secure.
I am safe.
I am grounded.
Begin to bring your awareness back to the flow of your natural breath.
Breathing in relaxation and breathing out tension.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Begin to notice the cooling breath as you inhale fills your nostrils,
Traveling through your throat,
Through your lungs,
Filling the abdomen,
All the way down to the root chakra.
Begin to notice the natural movements of your abdomen as you breathe in and out.
Each breath grounding at the base of the spine.
Begin to be aware of your entire body as it rests against the floor or the chair beneath you.
Return your attention to your fingers and your toes.
Give them a little wiggle as movement returns to the body.
Inhale shrugging the shoulders towards the ears.
Exhale releasing any remaining tension.
Start to become aware of the room around you.
Aware of the sounds that may be next to you.
Inhale and exhale.
Slowly begin to open your eyes when you're ready.
