Have you ever noticed how your thoughts can make a situation seem more worse than what it actually is?
That is the reason why CBT can be very helpful.
CBT stands for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and the idea behind it is that our thoughts affect how we feel and how we feel affects how we behave.
And so when we become more aware of our thoughts,
We can start to challenge them to help us be able to feel more grounded.
So just to give a brief example,
If I am thinking to myself that I'm stupid,
That can make me feel maybe low,
Down,
Inadequate.
And so then behaviorally,
Maybe I may not put myself out there.
I may not try new things.
I may isolate.
And so when we challenge the thought,
I am stupid with.
Maybe this is challenging,
But I have the resources or I can do hard things.
It can help us be able to save lives.
And so if you would like to learn more,
I invite you to check out some of my other audios that goes more in detail about different cognitive distortions,
Which that's another way of saying negative thoughts.
Understanding them and ways that we can challenge them to find ourselves so we can just feel more connected to self.
The cell.
Thank you for joining me.
I hope this helps.
I invite you to take a big deep inhale.
Exhale.
Have a beautiful day.
