Welcome.
I'm so glad you're here.
Whatever brought you to this moment?
A worry that won't quite settle?
The tightness in your chest that arrived without a clear reason?
The sense that something is slightly off and you can't quite name it.
You don't need to explain it or to fix it right now.
You just need to be here.
This is a guided EFT tapping session for anxiety relief.
In the next 10 minutes,
We're going to gently work with your nervous system,
Not against it.
To help you move from a state of alert.
Into a state of genuine,
Settled calm.
Before we begin,
Find a comfortable position.
It's best to be sitting down with your feet resting on the floor.
Settle into this space,
Wherever you are right now.
If it feels comfortable,
Gently close your eyes.
Allow your shoulders to drop away from your ears.
Relax them,
Move them a little bit if you need to.
Let your jaw soften,
Your face soften,
Your hands relax.
Take one slow breath in through your nose.
And a long,
Slow exhale out through your mouth.
Again,
Inhale slowly.
And exhale fully.
One more time,
Breathing in calm and steadiness.
And breathing out whatever you've been carrying.
Just notice how you feel right now There may be tension somewhere in your body,
A tightness in your chest or throat,
A restlessness in your mind or body.
A general sense of worry or unease.
Whatever is there,
Just notice it.
On a scale of 0 to 10,
Where 0 is completely calm and 10 is the most anxious you felt.
Notice where you are right now.
Intuitively name a number on that scale and hold it in your mind lightly.
We're going to revisit that at the end and see if that number's moved for you.
So starting by tapping on the karate chop point,
You're going to bring your fingers to one side of the karate chop point on the side of your hand.
Is the fleshy side of your head just below your little finger.
And begin tapping there gently.
As we say our setup statements together.
I'll say each statement once,
You repeat it after me,
Either out loud or silently.
Even though I feel this anxiety in my body right now.
Even though I feel this anxiety in my body right now.
I choose to meet it with kindness and compassion.
I choose to meet it with kindness and compassion.
Even though my nervous system is on high alert.
Even though my nervous system is on high alert.
I deeply and completely accept myself.
I deeply and completely accept myself.
Even though this anxiety feels like too much right now.
I am safe in this moment and I'm open to feeling calmer.
I am safe in this moment.
And I'm open to feeling calmer.
Stop tapping on the side of your hand.
We're now going to move.
Through the tapping points,
Starting with the inner edge of your eyebrow.
So just where your eyebrow begins,
Close to the bridge of your nose,
Begin tapping gently and repeat after me.
This anxiety I'm carrying.
This anxiety I'm carrying.
Move your fingers to the side of your eye.
It's the outer corner of your eye socket near the bone.
All this tension in my body.
All this tension in my body.
Now under the eye,
On the bone directly below your pupil.
The worry that keeps coming back.
The worry that keeps coming back.
Under the nose,
You're going to tap in the space between your nose and your upper lip.
This low hum of a knees I can't quite shake.
This low hum of unease I can't quite shake.
Tapping now on the chin.
It's the indent between your lower lip and your chin.
The feeling that something is not quite right.
The feeling that something is not quite right.
And then tapping on the collarbone.
Find your collarbone and move your fingers just below it and slightly to one side.
My nervous system is working so hard right now.
My nervous system is working so hard right now.
Tapping under the arm.
It's on the side of your ribcage and your arm,
Roughly where your bra strap would sit if you're a female and wear a bra.
It has been caring so much.
It has been caring so much.
And tapping on the top of your head.
I acknowledge all of it.
I am here with it.
I acknowledge all of it.
I am here with it.
Take a breath in.
Stop tapping.
And let it go.
We're going to move into round two of our tapping.
So let's start back at the eyebrow point again.
Tapping and repeating after me.
I'm allowed to feel this.
I'm allowed to feel this.
Tapping on the side of the eye,
And I'm allowed to let it soften,
And I'm allowed to let it soften.
Tapping under the eye,
My nervous system is beginning to settle.
My nervous system is beginning to settle.
Tapping under the nose.
I don't need to figure everything out right now.
I don't need to figure everything out right now.
Tapping on the chin.
Right now in this moment I am safe.
Right now in this moment I am safe.
Tapping on the collarbone.
I release the tension I've been holding in my body.
I release the tension I've been holding in my body.
Tapping under the arm.
My shoulders can soften.
My jaw can relax.
My shoulders can soften.
My jaw can relax.
And tapping on the top of the head.
I am more than this feeling.
And this feeling is already beginning to shift.
I am more than this feeling.
And this feeling is already beginning to shift.
Stop tapping.
Take a slow breath in.
And a long exhale out.
Notice what's happening in your body right now.
There may be a slight softening.
A loosening of something that was held tightly.
Even the smallest shift is real and worth noticing.
We're going to move now into our final round of tapping.
So starting with the eyebrow point.
Tapping and repeating after me.
I am calmer than I was a few minutes ago.
I am calmer than I was a few minutes ago.
Tapping on the side of the eye.
My nervous system knows how to find its way back to safety.
My nervous system knows how to find its way back to safety.
Tapping under the eye.
I carry steadiness within me even when I forget it is there I carry steadiness within me even when I forget it is there tapping under the nose,
I can meet what is in front of me from a calmer,
Clearer place.
I can meet what is in front of me from a calmer,
Clearer place.
Tapping on the chin.
I trust myself to handle what comes.
I trust myself to handle what comes.
Tapping on the collarbone.
I choose to move through this day with more ease.
I choose to move through this day with more ease.
Tapping under the arm.
I am grounded.
I am present.
I am okay.
I am grounded.
I am present.
I am okay.
And tapping on the top of the head.
Calm is my natural state and I'm returning to it now.
Calm is my natural state.
And I'm returning to it now.
Stop tapping.
Take a long,
Slow breath in.
And release it completely.
As you breathe out,
Letting go of tension and stress.
Let your hands gently rest in your lap or at your sides.
Allow your face to soften.
Take a moment to check back in with that number from the beginning,
From 0 to 10.
Where are you now?
Remember Zero is feeling calm.
And 10 is high levels of anxiety.
Notice the shift,
However small.
That shift happened because your nervous system responded,
Because your body knows how to move towards safety when you give it the conditions to do so.
If you found that your number didn't move or perhaps even went up.
Go through this tapping exercise again.
You can do it multiple times.
It is always here for you when you need it.
I'll share a closing affirmation now.
You can repeat it silently or aloud,
Letting the words settle into you.
I am safe in this moment.
I am safe in this moment.
My nervous system knows how to return to calm.
My nervous system knows how to return to calm.
I meet my anxiety with kindness,
Not resistance.
I meet my anxiety with kindness,
Not resistance.
And from this calmer place,
I move through my day with more clarity and ease.
And from this calmer place,
I move through my day with more clarity and ease.
Take one more breath in.
And let it go fully.
When you are ready,
Gently open your eyes.
You can return to this practice anytime anxiety rises.
Once a day,
Once a week,
Any moment when your nervous system needs somewhere to land.
You don't have to manage anxiety alone.
And you don't have to white knuckle your way through it.
You just need to come back to your breath.
Back to your body.
Back to this.
Take good care of yourself today.
And may you experience peace and joy.
