Do you sit down to work and find yourself doing everything except the thing that matters most? You're not lazy. You're not broken. And it's not a time management problem. What most productivity advice misses is that resistance to getting started isn't a mindset issue. It's a nervous system response. When a task feels uncertain, high-stakes, or tied to your sense of worth, your brain's survival circuitry activates and pulls you toward anything safer and easier. Willpower alone can't override that signal. EFT can. EFT, or Emotional Freedom Techniques, also known as tapping, is an evidence-informed practice that combines gentle acupressure on specific points on your face and body with focused awareness on what you're feeling. Research shows it directly calms the amygdala, the part of your brain responsible for stress and threat response, sending a safety signal that allows your thinking brain to come back online. The result? The task in front of you stops feeling like a threat. And starting becomes remarkably easier. This free five-lesson course begins with the neuroscience behind resistance and procrastination, and why it has nothing to do with discipline or motivation. From Lesson 2 onwards you'll move into fully guided tapping sessions, learning the eight EFT points and how to use them, a complete tapping session for overwhelm and mental clutter, a targeted sequence for procrastination, and a short daily Focus Reset you can use before any work session to clear mental noise and prime your mind for flow. Lesson 1 covers why your brain resists getting started and reframes everything you thought you knew about focus and productivity. Lesson 2 introduces the eight tapping points and guides you through your first complete session, designed around clearing general overwhelm and mental clutter. Lesson 3 takes a targeted approach to procrastination, addressing the emotional root of avoidance directly. Lesson 4 is the Focus Reset, a shorter and more energising daily practice you can use before any work session. Lesson 5 brings everything together with a Completion Tap and a clear path forward for taking your practice deeper. This course is for you if you know what you need to do but struggle to make yourself start, if you experience mental overwhelm, scattered thinking, or decision fatigue, if you've tried productivity systems but find the emotional side of focus is still getting in the way, or if you simply want a practical and repeatable tool rather than another framework or theory. No background in EFT, meditation, or mindfulness is needed. All you need is a quiet space, a few minutes, and your own two hands. Every session is fully guided from start to finish.
