Paramesh Ari Gonzalez

Paramesh (Ari) Gonzalez is a meditation and yoga teacher, yoga vedānta educator, kirtan leader, writer, former podcast host, and inter-faith chaplain. He holds a Master's degree in Contemplative Religion with Sanskrit Language from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, USA, Since 2006, he has taught meditation and yoga in yoga studios and schools, retreats, hospitals, businesses, an addiction treatment center, a psychiatric hospital, and a county jail. He has also worked as an inter-faith hospital and hospice chaplain. He currently leads meditation & yoga retreats worldwide, and teaches classes on-line and locally in Portugal. In 2002 Paramesh met his Guru, Sri Mātā Amritānandamayi Devi, affectionately known as Amma. His life and teachings are greatly inspired by Her as well as the great masters; Paramahamsa Yogananda, Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Ramana Maharshi, and Nisargadatta Maharaj. Between 2019 & 2020 Paramesh published 9 episodes of The Path of Yoga podcast available on Spotify. Paramesh teaches an integrated yoga practice incorporating āsana and prānāyāma with meditation at the heart. He teaches breath-based Hatha yoga that seamlessly uses the breath and body to lead one easily inwards into deep meditation practice. He also teaches Kundalini and Tantric Yoga practices. Paramesh currently lives in southern Portugal, in the beautiful region of the Algarve, with Oana, his wife, and Kailash, his dog.
