So this practice is designed to bring you a sense of relaxation and sensual vitality through using your imagination and visualization and your connection to the ocean and its energy.
So as we begin,
Gently close your eyes and give yourself a moment to arrive into your body and into the present moment and into the meditation.
With your eyes still closed,
Noticing the room that you're in right now.
Right now,
You're nowhere else but right here and noticing the surface that your body's resting on.
Really taking note that right now you're here in this body.
You can let everything else go and ease ourselves into deep relaxation through doing three deep long slow breaths together.
Take a deep breath in through the nose and then a really long slow breath out through the mouth as if you're breathing out through a fine straw.
And as you breathe out,
Notice how your body relaxes.
Another deep breath in and a long slow breath out through the mouth,
Relaxing the body.
And one more time,
A deep breath in and a really long slow breath out,
Letting the body deeply relax.
And then just rest your awareness on your natural breath coming in and out.
But allow your breath to slow down and lengthen out a little.
Gradually and deeply resting and relaxing.
And as you breathe,
Notice with the out-breath each time how your body relaxes and releases.
And let yourself enjoy that feeling of your body relaxing.
And if you become distracted in thought,
Just gently acknowledge the thought and almost say to it,
I see you,
I'll come back to you later.
Then just gently let it go and come back to what resources you,
The breath,
The body,
The body,
Relaxation.
Then as you rest there,
Imagine you're by the ocean side.
Really place yourself there and be there.
Notice what you see,
All the colors,
The water,
The sand,
The sky,
Maybe there's rocks or some type of nature.
Almost seeing it like a child,
Seeing something for the first time.
And notice the sounds you hear,
The sound of the water or the waves.
Maybe the sound of a slight breeze.
Maybe the sound of birds.
And let the sounds come to you instead of going out to them.
You could take a really deep breath in and notice any smells.
Like maybe the smell of the salty air.
And what do you feel in your body?
You might feel the wind on your face or on your skin.
Or maybe feel the wind in your hair.
Feel the sun shining gently on your skin.
And let yourself really enjoy it.
Or maybe you prefer to be sitting in the shade and notice the coolness of that.
Feel the surface beneath you.
Maybe the sand on your skin or the sensations of the towel beneath you or a chair.
And notice the steadiness and support of that ground.
So really let yourself enjoy all these bodily sensations.
And feel how good it feels.
Just let yourself rest there in the moment,
Enjoying the energy of the ocean.
And as you breathe,
Each time you breathe in,
You almost breathe in all the good energy from the ocean.
Let it come into your body and almost fill every cell in your body with a sense of vitality,
Joy and love.
And if you notice any distractions,
Like pain or thoughts or memories or feelings,
You can take a deep breath in and a really long slow breath out through the mouth,
Blowing away those distractions and letting them get taken away by the ocean breeze.
Leaving you feeling lighter,
More peaceful and joyful.
So for a few moments,
Let yourself really rest in this space by the ocean side.
Soaking in the vitality and the energy.
And enjoy it.
So as this meditation comes towards an end,
I hope you enjoyed soaking in the energy from the ocean and letting it fill your body.
Bringing a deep sense of relaxation and vitality.
