Hi darling,
Welcome in.
I'm really glad you're here.
Before we begin,
Just take a moment to arrive.
Nothing to fix,
There's nothing to rush,
Just gently landing right here.
If it feels comfortable,
Or you can simply soften your gaze,
Let's begin with a slow breath in through your nose and a soft breath out through your mouth.
Again in.
If you've been feeling behind or like you should be further along,
Just notice that feeling without trying to change it.
There's so much pressure to grow quickly,
To have it all figured out,
To be somewhere other than where you are.
You don't have to rush your becoming.
Bring awareness down into your body,
Where you are supported.
The chair beneath you,
The floor beneath your feet,
Holding you without effort.
And as you exhale,
Let your body soften just a little more into that support.
Now imagine,
From the base of your body,
Roots beginning to grow.
No forcing,
No rushing,
Just natural,
Steady growth.
With each breath in,
Those roots reach a little deeper.
And with each breath out,
You soften into that connection.
You don't need to see the growth for it to be happening.
Even beneath the surface,
Even in the quiet.
Now gently bring one hand or both to your heart.
Feel the warmth of your own touch.
And softly say to yourself,
Again,
I am allowed to grow slowly and still become everything I'm meant to be.
Let that settle into your body.
Your path does not need to look like anyone else's.
Your timing is your own.
Soft growth is still growth and strong roots take time.
They build beneath the surface,
Quietly holding you through every season.
Take a slow breath in and a slow breath out.
I want to share something I wrote.
The strongest roots don't grow in perfect seasons.
They grow in the dark,
In the deep,
In the middle of the storm.
Trust the soil you're in,
Darling.
Even if this season feels uncertain,
Even if it feels messy or heavy,
There's something within you growing,
Strengthening,
Rooting you deeper than you realize.
You are growing in ways you can't always see it.
You're not missing it.
Beginning to bring awareness back into your body.
Thank you for taking this time for yourself.
For choosing softness in a world that rushes everything.
You are not behind,
Darling.
You're rooting in something real.
