Welcome,

This meditation is a space to be exactly as you are,

Broken up,

Numb,

Heavy,

Or maybe just plain tired.

You don't have to be okay here.

You don't have to be strong.

You don't have to let go.

You just have to be.

And if even that feels like too much,

Darling,

That's okay too.

I created this because I'm still learning how to carry the loss of my mom.

Some days,

I feel her everywhere,

In the wind,

In a song,

In my son's laugh.

And other days,

I can't feel her at all.

Both are true.

But what's wild is,

When I listen back to my own meditations,

I hear her in me.

That's what grief does.

It changes you in ways that echo.

So if you're holding on to something heavy today,

A loss,

A longing,

A silence,

I'm right here beside you.

So let's breathe through it together.

Let your body find a shape that feels safe,

Maybe seated,

Maybe lying down,

Or maybe curled into yourself like a comma.

Unfinished,

But still part of the story.

Let your breath guide you.

Inhale gently,

And exhale like a soft sigh.

Nothing forced,

Just present.

Your body doesn't lie.

It holds what the mind can't say out loud.

So take this moment to listen.

Really listen.

You won't know unless you give it a try.

So here we go together.

If you feel hesitation,

That's not weakness,

That's wisdom.

Grief runs deep and you know it.

It doesn't come with a timeline or a tidy ending.

It lives in waves and sometimes it knocks the breath out of you without warning.

So as we start to listen,

Breathe through it at your own pace.

Maybe you notice tension,

Resistance,

Or nothing at all.

Maybe your body feels tight,

Or tired,

Or trembling.

That's okay,

Just keep breathing.

Let your body speak.

Maybe it lets out a deep cry.

Maybe it releases with slow crocodile tears.

Maybe your heart just aches,

A slow burn,

Like an amber still smoldering.

It won't always burn that way.

Even this pain can soothe the soul.

If your grief had a shape,

What would it be?

A lump in your throat,

A storm in your belly,

A dull ache tucked away behind your ribs.

Whatever you find,

Let it be there.

No pushing it down,

No trying to fix it,

Just witness it.

Let it be part of you,

Not all of you.

And if you feel nothing right now,

That counts too.

Sometimes the heart goes quiet because it's too loud inside.

You are not alone in your grief,

Even if it feels like it.

As I sit here,

I'm feeling mine too.

This isn't me guiding you from my healing,

It's me guiding you through it.

Right now,

Someone else is crying in their car.

Someone is whispering,

I miss you in the dark.

And someone is holding on to a sweatshirt that still smells like goodbye.

Let's hold each other from afar in this quiet circle of remembrance.

If your heart is aching for someone today,

Maybe you speak to them now.

This is what I would speak in this moment.

Come to me mom,

Wrap your arms around me,

Soothe the places I can't reach.

I want to leave you with this quote,

Grief is just love with nowhere to go.

We'll sit here for a moment of silence,

Just you,

Your breath,

And whatever that stirred inside you.

You don't have to let go of your grief,

You only have to let it breathe.

Let it walk beside you,

Not define you.

If you'd like,

Whisper softly,

I carry you,

I miss you.

Take a deep breath in,

And a long breath out,

And as we begin to bring ourselves back into our spaces,

Back into the room,

The body,

And the moment.

I want to leave you with this,

All roads we travel lead somewhere,

Even if we feel like we have nowhere to go.

And as you move through your day,

This road you're on,

The one shaped by grief,

It may feel bumpy,

Uncertain,

Even endless.

But when we pause,

We sit with it,

And feel it,

Like we just did.

And we start to notice a new path forming,

And sometimes those paths,

The ones carved by remembrance,

They lead us to the most beautiful places,

Places where love lives on,

Just within reach.

And your lost loved one is here,

With you,

Always.

When you're ready,

Begin to gently return by wiggling your fingers and your toes,

Maybe place a hand on your heart.

You are here,

You are held,

And you,

My darling,

Are not alone.
