This soulful prayer meditation is for the days when life feels like too much and you’re hanging on by a thread. With her signature not so darlin’ warmth, Tonya offers a gentle space to breathe, release, and remember that God’s grace meets you right where you are—even in the mess. Let this be your soft landing, your whispered reminder that you’re never alone, and that peace—real, rooted peace—was made for you, darlin’. Come as you are, and leave a little lighter.

Hi there,

I'm Not-So-Darling Tanya and welcome to Meditate in Style.

Life's not-so-darling moments don't stand a chance against stillness and a deep breath because peace,

My darling,

Is always in style.

Whenever you're ready,

Whether you choose to sit up tall or lie down low,

It's all good.

Just get comfortable as you pray.

If you feel called,

Go ahead and close your eyes or soften your gaze,

Maybe even bring your hands together in prayer position,

Resting gently over your heart.

Now take a deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Let it be soft.

Let it be slow.

Again,

Inhale through the nose and exhale out through the mouth.

Let these words wash over you.

When I am weak,

Be my rock.

When life feels heavy and I'm barely holding it together,

Steady me.

Remind me that I don't have to carry it all alone.

You're here,

Strong,

Steady,

And never letting go.

When I am lost in the swirl of thoughts and doubts,

Remind me that you are my shepherd.

Even when I don't know the way,

You're already walking it beside me.

If there is a storm staring inside of me,

Tension in my chest,

Tightness in my heart,

Breathe your calm into that space.

Help me trust your timing even when it feels like nothing's moving.

Teach me to be still,

Not the kind of still that's stiff or forced,

But the kind that feels like surrender,

The kind that remembers you are God and that's more than enough.

I lay down my worries here,

My fear,

My need to control,

And in return,

I ask for more of you,

More faith to hold on to,

More hope to carry me forward.

As I journey through this day,

Keep my heart anchored in your promises.

When the world feels loud and messy,

Remind me I am never alone.

You are in every breath,

In every pause,

In every not-so-darling moment I bring to you.

Fill me with joy and your presence,

Not the big loud kind,

But that deep quiet joy that hums beneath it all.

And if I forget,

Remind me again,

Because I know you will.

I'll keep showing up,

Not with perfection,

But with an open heart.

Thank you for meeting me here,

Right in the middle of the mess,

With grace that doesn't run out and love that never lets go.

Now take one last deep breath in and let it all go.

Carry this peace with you,

Darling.

Even when the day gets loud,

Come back to this stillness,

Because the world may not always feel kind,

But you've got something stronger inside of you now.

Until next time,

Stay soft,

Stay rooted,

And remember peace,

My darling,

Is always in style.

Amen.
