Welcome everyone.
I hope you all are well.
Sitting in silence.
Something that's become.
.
.
Almost non-existent.
With today's technology and the modern ways of how we manage day-to-day tasks,
So many of us have forgotten what silence really is.
Remembering how stillness feels.
Peace of it all.
It all starts with turning off.
Everything.
And putting it all away.
For just a few minutes or so each day.
It can be scary at first.
A lot of thoughts and emotions will resurface from the past.
And some about the future.
I know it isn't easy.
Possible anxiety and depressive feelings that may arise.
It's not easy at all.
But that's why I'm here.
We don't need to fight them.
We don't need to like them either.
We just first need to learn to accept them.
The hardest part will be in the beginning.
The urge to reach for our phones,
For music,
For something,
Anything to distract us from that flooding silence.
It's okay to feel that urge.
To accept it.
Remember.
Accepting doesn't mean we have to act on it.
It's there and it exists It exists with us,
But it doesn't need to control us.
We can continue to sit with nothing but ourselves,
Our thoughts,
Our emotions,
Our breath.
This is how we can overcome those past and future thoughts and emotions.
Having control of ourselves.
While letting our mind.
Bye.
And heart free.
Sitting in silence.
Start with 2-5 minutes a day,
Slowly progressing for longer over time.
If and when you feel any overwhelming anxiety or even possibly depression.
Remember to breathe.
Nice and easy.
The longer we can be in the stillness,
The silence.
The better we can discover the root of those anxious and depressing thoughts and feelings that surface.
Once we starve ourselves of distractions.
Keep this in mind.
We're allowing our brains to reset,
Which,
With time and practice,
Will only help us better process those triggering thoughts,
Emotions,
And even stress.
Cortisol levels begin to drop.
We begin to escape the unnecessary fight or flight mode that we experience due to all of the overstimulation from the world around us.
I know that we are capable of practicing this.
I also know that this practice offers so much benefit to our lives and you are capable of doing it.
So go ahead and start after this track.
And let me know how it went.
If there's any other way for me to help.
I'm here.
And until next time.
Namaskara.
