My name is Gary B.

Find a place where you can get comfortable.

Take any movements you may need to settle into your meditation practice today.

We will be focusing on our chakras one by one.

Move your focus to your face.

Is there any tension in it?

Start to soften your forehead.

Relax your mouth.

Loosen your jaw.

Relax your neck.

Let your shoulders drop away from your ears.

Relax your arms and your hands.

Try to release any tension in your torso,

In your hips,

In your legs.

And in your feet.

Chakras are energy centers starting at the base of your spine and continuing all the way up to the top of your head.

Each chakra has a specific color associated with it.

We'll be going through each one and focusing on the chakra and the color.

When my chakras are open I feel a sense of energy flowing through me and it flows freely from my head to my feet and from my feet to my head.

To begin let's take a couple of deep breaths.

Inhale through your nose as deeply as you can.

Hold for one second and then exhale.

Inhale deeply through your nose.

Hold.

Exhale fully.

One more.

Inhale deeply.

Hold and exhale fully.

Let's start with some grounding.

Focus on the color black.

For me it is very grounding.

Imagine the ground or the earth underneath you and your feet planted firmly on that ground.

Take some time to notice what comes up for you as you focus on the color black.

Use this time to ground yourself in your practice right here,

Right now.

I like to ground myself by walking barefoot in the grass.

And as I think about the color black and grounding myself,

This is the image and the feeling that comes up for me.

Notice what comes up for you with curiosity.

There is no right or wrong.

Just notice.

Continue to focus on the color black and grounding yourself.

Now that we are grounded,

Let go of your focus on the color black and move your focus to the color red.

Red is the color of our root chakra.

The root chakra is our foundation.

It sits at the base of your spine.

It handles survival and security needs.

Focus on the color red and the mantra I am safe and secure.

I am safe and secure.

If you find your mind wandering,

That is okay.

Just notice that and then return your focus back to the color red and the mantra I am safe and secure.

Release your focus and slowly move up your body to your lower abdomen.

This is where the sacral chakra is located and is represented by the color orange.

Take a deep breath and reflect on your meditation practice today.

What came up for you?

How do you feel right now?

Just allow any reflections to surface without judgment.

Acknowledge them and then let them pass.

Give yourself credit for showing up and practicing meditation today.

Let's close today's practice with three deep breaths.

Breathing in and breathing out.

One more.

Return and listen to this meditation any time that you want to focus on your chakras.

Relaxation and overall general well-being.

Thank you for choosing to meditate with me today.

Namaste.
