Find a comfortable position,

Either sitting or lying down in a quiet space.

Close your eyes gently and take a few deep breaths,

Allowing your body to relax,

With each exhale.

Imagine yourself standing on the edge of a vast,

Serene lake.

The water is calm,

Reflecting the clear blue sky above.

Visualise the surface of the lake representing your thoughts and emotions.

Picture a small boat gently floating nearby.

This boat symbolises your journey inward.

Step into the boat and allow it to drift away from the shore,

Moving into the centre of the lake.

As you glide across the water,

Notice any ripples or disturbances on the surface.

These ripples represent your inner thoughts,

Worries and doubts.

Acknowledge them without judgement as the boat calmly navigates through them.

Feel a sense of detachment from these ripples,

Recognising that they are temporary and do not define your true essence.

With each breath,

Visualise a calming light emanating from within you.

Gently soothing the ripples and restoring the surface of the lake to stillness.

Imagine diving into the tranquil depths of the lake.

As you descend,

You leave behind the surface commotion and enter a serene,

Peaceful space within yourself.

Embrace this sense of stillness and clarity.

In this serene underwater realm,

Observe your thoughts and emotions floating by like colourful fish.

Watch them come and go without attachment.

Allow yourself to feel a sense of calm,

Detachment and acceptance.

As you begin to ascend back toward the surface,

Carry this newfound tranquility and detachment with you.

Know that you have the power to observe your thoughts without being consumed by them.

Return to the boat and gently guide it back to the shore.

As you step out onto the solid ground,

Take a deep breath,

Feeling grounded and centred in the present moment.

Slowly open your eyes,

Carrying the sense of tranquility and detachment with you as you re-engage with the world around you.

Remember,

By observing your thoughts and emotions from a place of calm,

Detachment,

You can navigate through life's challenges with clarity and resilience.
