Make yourself comfortable and when you are ready slowly close your eyes.
Take a moment to check in with your body.
Allow your body to sink into the support beneath you.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Breathe in,
Hold,
Breathe.
By breathing slowly we activate the parasympathetic nervous system,
Our peaceful system.
We give this time to free ourselves from our stresses and worries so we can find peace,
Love and joy in our lives.
Allow your breathing to come to a nice,
Slow,
Comfortable rhythm for you.
Don't force the breath,
Allow the breath to come and go in a gentle,
Natural rhythm.
Imagine you are sitting in a cosy big armchair.
The room around you is dark but familiar,
Comforting and warm.
In front of you on a table is a tall red candle.
The ruby red candle's flame is a warm orange and it flickers gently.
As you gaze at the dancing flame,
You are mesmerized by the soothing rhythmic motion.
As you watch the flame,
You feel your body begin to release the tension from the day.
Your feet uncurl,
The legs relax,
Your shoulders drop and the jaw unclenches.
You can feel the gentle heat from the flame.
As you watch the glow of the candle in the dark,
You surrender to a place of serenity,
A tranquility just for you.
Focusing on the flame,
The candle flickers and clicks and the flame grows bigger.
It seems to move in perfect harmony,
Illuminating the room.
This light and heat begin to fill your body,
Allowing you to throw a spotlight onto your own life.
It highlights that where your focus goes,
So does your energy.
If you always focus on the negative,
Then the flame will shrink and you forget all your achievements and feel like you are in the dark.
But when you focus on the positives,
These will shine brightly,
Radiating out into the world and so the flame grows bigger,
Allowing you to find creative ways to move forward in a calm and gentle state.
It does not mean to ignore the problems,
But like the candle shining brightly in the dark,
Focusing on the light will allow you to live to your full potential.
Take some time for reflection.
Your light,
Your energy that makes you who you are never truly leaves you.
It may be dimmed in times of stress or worry,
But it is always there,
Ready to burst forth.
Don't hide who you are,
Embrace it,
Accept yourself and shine brightly.
Bring your awareness back to your body and when you are ready,
Open your eyes and have a wonderful day.
