Find a comfortable position.
Feel the support beneath you.
When you are ready close your eyes.
Take a few deep breaths in and out.
Feel the air entering and leaving your body.
Do not force the breath.
Allow it to come to a gentle rhythm for you.
With each breath you become more and more relaxed.
Imagine you are curled up in your favorite chair.
You are wrapped in a warm fluffy blanket.
Your room is peaceful and cozy.
As you gaze out of the window you see the rain gently falling on the ground below.
Take a moment to notice the surrounding of the room you are in.
Listen to the sounds,
The familiar scents and the feel of your room.
In your warm blanket you are cozy and safe.
You take this moment,
A time you have chosen,
Just for you to free your mind of all thoughts.
To unwind,
Allowing the body and mind to relax.
If any thoughts push for attention acknowledge them and then let them slip away like leaves in the wind.
Bring yourself back to the picture of being curled up,
Warm,
Cozy and relaxed in your chair.
Check in with your body.
Focus on any areas that have any tension.
Send your energy there to release this tension.
Unclench the jaw.
Remove your tongue from the roof of your mouth.
Let your shoulders drop,
The hips relax and the toes uncurl.
Releasing all stress and worries that serve you no more.
As you sink more and more into the support beneath you take some time to be thankful for all that you have and all that will come if you can trust in yourself.
Reflect on your day,
Celebrating the winds however big or small.
There is good in every day,
Even on the days where you may have to look a little bit harder to find the light.
If your day has not gone as you had hoped acknowledge the disappointment or stress.
Then allow these thoughts and feelings to drift off fully trusting that there is something better yet to come.
You are fully supported and guided by those all around you.
As you bring your awareness back to your body imagine you are standing from your armchair,
Shed in your blanket and blossoming as the best version of you.
When you are ready,
Open your eyes.
