Begin by giving yourself the time you need to arrive here.
Being here and now is the invitation.
Gently turning your attention to your breath.
Simple breath in.
Simple breath out.
And give yourself this time for your body and your mind.
To meet again.
Moving away from any timeline.
Or any need to rush.
You can be here now.
Moment by moment.
A simple arrival.
As you begin to settle.
Notice sensation in your body.
Notice how your body is organized in this moment.
Simply becoming more aware of how your body is responding to the world around you.
More aware of the impact your environment is having.
What is it that is keeping you swept up in the momentum?
The forward movement.
You judgment.
And patience.
Criticism.
My friend,
Let me remind you that these are passing feeling states,
Not ultimate truths.
Where are the places in your body that you feel the tension it's been carrying from that constant motion forward?
Visiting gently the muscles in your face.
Your forehead.
Around your eyes.
Your job.
Becoming aware of any tension in your shoulders.
In your back.
Coming back to that invitation to be here and now.
All of you.
And giving yourself a nice deep breath here,
A slow inhale.
And then even slower exhale.
Inviting all the places that have been working so hard.
To find their way to rest here.
Landing in the here and now.
Yielding into that surface beneath your body.
Allowing gravity to help you.
There is no need to work here.
It is safe to be.
Safe to land.
And just notice what that feels like.
As you re-embody the experience of landing.
Let this be a reminder that you have many soft landings available to you.
A loving connection with a friend.
Time spent in nature.
A song that makes your heart smile.
What else provides those opportunities for you to land softly?
And go ahead and acknowledge them.
As you begin to move away from the ground that you've been on,
Consider the ground that you have been longing for.
Soft and steady.
Firm yet yielding.
Ever present.
As tension in your body releases,
You begin to feel a new relationship to the ground beneath you.
Remembering that things can shift and change.
And you can always find your way back to the ground.
Where you are held and supported.
With ease.
No need to worry.
Just let yourself be held here.
Breathing in.
.
.
Breathing out.
.
.
Now begin to imagine yourself walking on this steady ground,
Moving back into your day.
Notice the qualities that you are walking forward with.
Moving away from effort.
And back into flow.
And simple presence.
And know that the next time you feel swept up in the world around you,
Moving so fast,
Can always come back to that quiet place inside.
Waiting to land.
Remembering the ground beneath you.
And take another few moments here to become aware of the shifts you have experienced.
Places in your body that feel softer.
More space in your mind.
It is not only ok to land,
It is the best way we can find ourselves again.
And become fortified from the support beneath us.
To move forward with ease.
And as you move back into your day,
Be on the lookout for those soft landings.
Those little things that help you to pause and enjoy the moment.
Go gently,
My friend.
From my heart to yours.
