Take a quiet moment to arrive here.
Simply allow yourself to pause and notice what is present within you.
Perhaps there are emotions moving gently in the background,
Or perhaps something feels more intense,
More difficult to hold.
Whatever is here,
You are allowed to meet it slowly.
Take a soft breath in through your nose and gently exhale through your mouth.
Again,
Breathing in,
Allowing the body to expand slightly,
And breathing out,
Letting yourself settle a little deeper into this moment.
Let the breath become steady and natural,
Like a quiet rhythm supporting you from within.
So often we learn to move away from what we feel,
To distract,
To push aside,
To try to replace discomfort with something easier.
And yet,
Emotions do not need to be pushed away to pass.
They simply need space.
For a moment,
Imagine that your inner world is like a wide open sky.
Thoughts,
Sensations and emotions move through this space like clouds.
Some are light and barely noticeable,
While others may feel heavier,
Darker,
More present.
But the sky itself remains open,
Vast and unchanged.
Take another slow breath in,
And as you exhale,
Gently allow whatever you are feeling to be here,
Just as it is.
You are not diving into it,
And you are not pushing it away.
You are simply making space.
Notice where this feeling lives in your body.
Perhaps in your chest,
Your stomach,
Your throat,
Or somewhere more subtle.
Without needing to name it or understand it,
Allow your awareness to rest there,
Softly and curiously.
Imagine that,
With each breath,
There is a little more room around the feeling.
As if it is being held in a wider space,
Where it does not need to tighten or press so strongly.
The feeling is still there,
But now it is not the only thing that exists.
There is also breath.
There is also awareness.
There is also space.
You might notice that as you stop resisting,
Something begins to shift on its own.
Not because you are forcing it to change,
But because it is no longer being held so tightly.
Take a slightly deeper breath in,
And gently exhale,
Allowing the body to soften around the experience.
Let your shoulders drop.
Your jaw relax.
Your breath move freely.
Whatever you are feeling,
It belongs to the human experience.
It does not define you.
It is something moving through you,
And you are the space that can hold it.
Stay here for a few more breaths,
Allowing this gentle openness to continue.
Take one more slow breath in,
And softly exhale.
And as you begin to bring your awareness back to the room around you,
Notice how you feel now.
Perhaps nothing has changed dramatically,
And that is okay.
Even the smallest shift toward openness is enough.
