Right now,
You are giving yourself permission to step out of the noise of your mind,
To rest in the simplicity of this moment.
Find a comfortable position either seated or lying down.
Allow your body to relax,
Feeling the support of the surface beneath you.
There is nowhere else you need to be,
Nothing else you need to do,
Just here,
Right now.
Begin by gently turning your attention inward.
Notice the movement of your thoughts,
Like clouds drifting across the sky of your mind.
There might be many or just a few,
But for now,
You are simply observing.
There is no need to control them,
No need to judge them,
Just notice.
Some thoughts may feel loud and heavy,
Others soft and fleeting.
Now imagine that each thought is a leaf floating down a slow-moving river.
One by one,
Place your thoughts onto the water.
Watch them float away,
Carried effortlessly by the current.
You don't need to chase them,
You don't need to pull them back,
Just watch them go.
Now bring your awareness to the space that is left behind,
The quiet moments between each thought,
The stillness that exists when the noise settles.
Let yourself rest here,
Even just for a moment.
This is where clarity lives,
Underneath the noise,
In the calm of your own presence.
Repeat silently,
I am NOT my thoughts.
I can let them go.
I am here in this moment and that is enough.
Feel the truth of these words settle into your body.
You don't need to solve everything right now.
You are allowed to just be.
As we close this meditation,
Take a moment to honor this pause you've created.
You chose to step out of the noise,
To let go of the overthinking and to find peace in stillness.
You have everything you need inside of you to find calm and clarity.
When you are ready,
Gently bring your awareness back to the space around you.
Move your fingers,
Stretch your neck,
Feel your body reconnect and when it feels right,
Softly open your eyes.
Carry the sense of clarity with you,
Knowing you can always come back to the stillness.
