Have you ever felt like you're just like carrying around extra energy maybe it shows up in tension or just like a buzz around you?
I'm going to show you a very simple practice called body brushing today for those times where maybe you had an interaction that you need a little bit of cleansing for.
You don't have your palo santo or your sage around,
Or maybe you're about to enter into a meditation or a sacred space where you just want a little bit of cleansing.
My name is Lillian.
I'm a somatic therapist and fascial stretch specialist.
And for over 15 years,
I've been helping people bridge the connection between their minds and their bodies.
And this is a really nice way to connect with your body and integrate some things.
Okay,
So it's very simple.
The way we're going to start is you're just going to start by brushing your head.
Imagine your hands are just like brushes.
There's a lot of energy in our hair,
So just get it all out.
Make sure you're nice and gentle with your face.
And then we're just gonna go all the way down the body,
So we're gonna brush.
Our arms.
Brushing all the way down.
Make sure we're nice and gentle with our tummies.
See how far back you can get.
If you need an extra brushing in an area,
Make sure that you take care of yourself here.
So I'm just going to guide you,
But your body will know.
I like to tell people this practice.
In this practice,
Imagine like you sat on your friend's couch wearing white clothes and they have a,
Sorry,
Wearing black clothes and they have a white cat and now you have it all over.
So you're just gonna brush,
Brush,
Brush all it off,
Get all the little extra spots.
And then just pause and notice.
What are you feeling in this place?
Maybe there's a bit of a little tingle.
Maybe you feel a little lighter.
I would love to know how this was for you.
So if you can share it in the comments,
That would be great.
And Yeah,
Just.
.
.
You know,
Imagine yourself just kind of giving yourself a little body cleanse,
Coming back to yourself a little bit more,
Coming back to yourself a little bit deeper.
Thank you so much for moving with me.
My name is Lillian and I'll see you next time.
