Take a moment to get into a nice,
Comfortable position.
This is your time to rest your body,
To begin sleep.
Close your eyes and just begin focusing on your breath.
Breathing in and out.
Relax and release.
Breathing in,
Relaxation.
Relaxation,
Releasing any tension.
As thoughts come and go,
Try to just reach a state of equanimity,
Which is allowing thoughts to come and go without push or pull.
Just relaxing into it and releasing.
As you're breathing,
Just calming your body.
Getting ready to get into a nice,
Restful,
Calming sleep.
Just take notice of any areas within your body where you're feeling some tension.
Just breathe into that area for a little bit.
Bringing your focus there.
And as your thoughts come in,
Maybe thoughts about the day,
Thoughts about tomorrow,
Know that these will come and go.
And you can be the observer of your thoughts,
The thinker who thinks the thought.
And just allow that thought to pass.
Just continue to relax back into your breath and release.
You can even feel the sensation of your chest raising and filling with air.
And then releasing out.
Continue to notice if there's any sensation in your body or thought that's coming up.
And just keep going back to center.
Knowing that.
Thoughts will come and go.
You will feel sensations in your body,
Yet we're just looking to return to center.
Return to your breath.
So you can get into that nice,
Calming sleep.
Now notice an area of your body that feels very good,
Feels very calm right now.
Just focus your attention and your energy there right into the moment.
And just feel that.
That sense of ease,
That relaxed feeling,
And know that this is your truth.
This is what you are.
This feeling of ease and calm and peace is your essence.
You can feel this throughout our body.
Just focus down at the roots,
At our toes,
And allow our toes to just feel that calm,
That peaceful presence.
A slight tingling as you focus your attention there.
And just allow your attention to move upward to your legs and knees.
Just feel that peaceful energy that's there.
