This is The Wise and the Foolish Builders,
A liberating humanity,
Christ-centered meditation.
In the parable of the wise and foolish builders,
Christ tells the story of two people who build their homes,
One on a strong foundation and the other on unstable ground.
When pressure comes,
One remains standing while the other cannot hold.
Through this story,
Christ reveals that what we build our lives upon determines how we stand when challenges arise.
It invites us to move beyond reaction and instability and to live a foundation rooted in truth,
Grounded in the presence of God.
This meditation is a time to become aware of what you are building your life upon and to return to a foundation that remains steady in all conditions.
Sit comfortably.
Close your eyes.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in through your nose.
Exhale gently through your mouth.
Again,
Deep breath in and slow breath out.
Let your breathing settle into a steady rhythm.
As you breathe in,
Receive peace.
As you breathe out,
Release tension.
Now,
Quietly say a prayer in your heart,
A prayer for clarity,
A prayer for alignment,
A prayer to build your life on what is true and rooted in God.
Invite divine protection of this space.
Only the pure love of God is present.
Feel God's presence there.
Steady.
Now,
Gently become aware of your life,
The patterns you live by,
The decisions you make,
The way you respond,
When pressure comes.
Just observe without judgment.
Notice something deeper.
What supports your choices?
What anchors your actions?
Just see it clearly.
Bring your awareness back to your heart.
With each inhale,
Receive peace.
With each exhale,
Soften.
Gently sense what feels steady within you,
What remains the same even when circumstances change.
Feel that.
This is your firm foundation,
The presence of God within you.
Notice the contrast.
What feels unstable?
What shifts based on outcomes?
What depends on approval or control?
Just observe without needing to fix anything.
Now,
Return again to your heart and feel that steady presence,
Unmoving,
Unshaken,
Always there,
Rooted in the love of Christ.
Bring to mind a real situation in your life,
Something that brings pressure,
Something that feels uncertain,
Something that could easily pull you out of alignment.
Now,
Return to your foundation.
Feel your body grounded.
Feel your breath steady.
Feel the love of God.
Feel your awareness clear.
Notice how the situation changes when you're not reacting,
But standing in the presence of God within you.
Now,
Quietly say within,
I build on what is true.
I remain steady in the love of God.
I return to what is unshaken.
Feel that settle into your body.
Now,
Bring another situation into your awareness,
Another place where you feel pulled,
Another place where instability shows up.
Let your response come from steadiness,
Not reaction,
Not fear,
But in alignment with what is true.
With each inhale,
Receive stability.
With each exhale,
Remain grounded in Christ.
Inhale,
Receive stability.
Exhale,
Grounded in Christ.
Inhale,
Receive stability.
Grounded in Christ.
Continue breathing,
Staying grounded.
Receive stability.
This is how your life is built,
But in every moment,
Each choice becomes a foundation.
Now,
Quietly say within,
I build my life on truth.
I live what I know in the presence of God,
Grounded in what is real.
Let what is unstable begin to fall away.
Let what is not aligned begin to release.
Let your foundation become clear.
Rest here in your firm foundation,
The truth of God.
Gently bring your awareness back to your body.
Feel the air around you and slowly release.
Open your eyes gently.
Carry this with you.
Build on a strong foundation.
Stand in the presence of God.
Remain grounded in all things.
