This is the Sower and the Soils,
A liberating humanity,
Christ-centered meditation.
In the parable of the Sower and the Soils,
Christ teaches that what is given can only grow where it is received,
Rooted,
And given space,
And that the condition of the heart determines what is able to take hold and bear fruit.
This meditation is a time to become aware of your inner state and to allow your heart to become open,
Deep,
So that what is true can enter,
Remain,
And grow within you.
Sit comfortably.
Close your eyes.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in through your nose.
Exhale gently through your mouth.
Again,
Deep breath in.
Let your breathing settle into a steady rhythm.
As you breathe in,
Receive life.
As you breathe out,
Soften.
Quietly say a prayer in your heart,
A prayer of openness,
A prayer of readiness,
A prayer to receive what is true.
Invite divine protection of this space.
Only the pure love of God is present.
Now gently become aware of your inner state.
Notice where the truth of God has been staying on the surface.
Notice where things pass through without truly entering your heart.
Just notice without judgment.
Now notice where something has begun within you,
A truth from God,
But it did not last,
Something you felt,
Something that started but did not take root.
Gently allow space to open.
Let the things of this world begin to fall away.
Let your inner space become open to the truth of God.
Gently bring awareness back to your breath.
With each inhale,
Receive.
Inhale,
Receive.
Exhale,
Allow.
Inhale,
Receive.
Exhale,
Allow.
Allow it to settle deeper.
Now gently sense this beginning to move into your life,
Not forced but expressed.
It shows in how you respond,
How you choose,
Begins to bear fruit.
Quietly say within,
Let what is true continue to grow.
Feel the surface beneath you and slowly release.
Open your eyes gently.
Carry this with you.
