This is the Armor of God,
A liberating humanity,
Christ-centered meditation.
In Ephesians 611,
It is written,
Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
This meditation is a time to be strengthened in Christ.
Sit comfortably,
Close your eyes,
Take a slow,
Deep breath in through your nose,
Exhale gently through your mouth,
Again,
Deep breath in,
And slow breath out.
Let your breathing settle into an intentional steady rhythm.
As you breathe in,
Feel the strength of God.
As you breathe out,
Release fear.
Now,
Offer a prayer in your heart,
A prayer for strength,
A prayer for protection,
A prayer to stand firm in Christ.
Invite the protection of God in this space.
Bring your awareness to your body.
With each breath,
Become steady,
Grounded.
Begin to put on the armor of God,
The breastplate of righteousness,
The shield of faith,
The helmet of salvation,
The sword of the Spirit,
Which is the word of God.
You do not put these on in fear.
You stand in them with confidence.
With each inhale,
Receive truth.
With each exhale,
Release deception.
With each inhale,
Receive righteousness.
With each exhale,
Release condemnation.
With each inhale,
Strengthen your faith.
With each exhale,
Release doubt.
With each inhale,
Remember your salvation.
With each exhale,
Release fear.
Stand firm,
Not in your own strength,
But in the strength of God.
Continue to breathe with intention.
Each inhale,
Say,
Stand firm.
With each exhale,
Say,
In Christ.
Inhale,
Stand firm.
Exhale,
In Christ.
Inhale,
Stand firm.
Inhale,
Stand firm.
Exhale,
In Christ.
Continue breathing,
Feeling God's strength.
Let that strength be with you.
When you are ready,
Gently bring awareness back to your body.
Feel the surface beneath you.
Feel the air around you.
Take one more deep breath in.
Open your eyes gently.
Stand firm today.
