Hi,

I'm Lexi and this is your invitation to slow down and gently move effortlessly from frazzled to free.

So take a deep breath in through your nose and slowly exhale through your mouth.

Again,

Breathe deeply into your belly and as you exhale,

Allow your shoulders to drop,

Your jaw to soften and your body to relax.

Let yourself arrive fully here,

Now.

And as you continue to breathe deeply into your belly,

Imagine in front of you,

Just at the level of your heart,

A button begins to appear.

This is your slow down button.

Notice its color.

Notice its size,

Its shape.

You can make this button exactly how you want.

Round or square,

Glowing or matte.

Any color you love,

It's yours to design.

It's sturdy,

Reassuring and makes a satisfying click when you press it.

And you can change the way it looks anytime you like.

So I invite you to take another deep breath in and as you exhale,

You notice the words slow down gently appear on the surface of your button.

In your imagination,

In your mind's eye,

Reach out and touch it.

Feel its texture beneath your fingers.

Smooth,

Cool,

Steady.

And now when you're ready,

Press your button and hear that satisfying click.

And as you do,

Imagine the whole universe slowing down to half speed.

Everything softens.

There's more time,

More space,

More room to breathe.

Imagine your button starts to speak and it says,

Thank you for pushing your slow down button.

This is your invitation to pause.

Breathe deeply into your belly and allow everything to slow down.

Slow down to half speed.

Breathe and feel yourself begin to relax.

Notice you have more space to respond rather than react.

You've got this.

And now take a deep breath in and gently breathe out.

Notice the relief that comes with slowing down,

With having permission to slow down.

The space between thoughts,

The gentle clarity that begins to emerge like a snowglobe settling.

Each time you press this button,

You drop into your own quiet center.

A peaceful place that's here always beneath the noise of your thinking.

Right here,

Right now.

Smile gently to yourself as you realize this button is yours forever.

You can never lose it.

You can never leave it behind.

As soon as you wish to imagine it,

It appears ready to help you slow everything down.

Take one last deep breath in through your nose and slowly sigh it out through your mouth.

Notice how your body feels now.

Perhaps a little lighter,

A little clearer,

Maybe a little calmer.

Your slow down button is always here for you.

A doorway that you can access that'll guide you from frazzled to free.

From busy to calm.

From reactive to having the capacity to respond.

From confusion to clarity.

You've got this.

Cracking little visualisation. Short, simple, effective. No labels, pseudoscience, witchcraft. Reassuring to have in my rucksack.

Very calming, supporting, and reassuring meditation. Great for a short pause to reflect and settle for a moment, and be able to respond intentionally and not reactively. Thank you!
