A mindful pause draws on mindfulness techniques which allow you to hit the reset button on your day so that you can come back to yourself and move forward with a greater sense of awareness and centredness.

Transcript

Pause.

Stop what you're doing and be still.

Be still here for a moment and be mindful.

Mindful of your surrounds.

First start with your feet.

Feel them planted firmly into the earth.

Stand or sit with them hip-width apart and let them grow roots.

Let your feet make impressions on the land on which you stand.

Take up space.

Stand up or sit up straight and tall and let your shoulders relax.

Your belly draws in and supports you from the core.

Let yourself be unshakable and strong.

Reclaim all your scattered energy back into the center of you.

Call your energy back in and fill yourself up from the inside.

Soften your face.

Create space.

Create ease.

Feel the oxygen and light on your skin and let your pores sink it in nourishing your cells as you recharge.

Take a beautiful breath in and out.

Cleanse.

Look around.

What are five things that you can see?

What can you hear?

What can you smell?

What can you taste?

What can you feel?

Take a full breath in and out.

Hit the reset button.

A firm to yourself,

Today I choose to be mindful.

Slowly bring movement back into your body.

Move however you want to move.

Let your actions be gentle and slow as you integrate into the rest of your day.
