Explore MeditationLaura C. Cannon, CMT-P is a certified meditation teacher accredited by the International Mindfulness Teachers Association who has been leading meditation groups for over 15 years. She has studied and practiced Buddhism in both the Vipassana and Dzogchen lineages. She is a graduate of Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield’s Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training program and she is also a Certified Buddhist Meditation Teacher with the Buddhist Studies Institute. In addition to meditation, Laura is also a certified Yoga Teacher and Reiki Master Teacher. Laura is the author of The Conscious Entrepreneur: A Guide to Maximizing Your Potential for Success, Freedom, and Happiness. She embodies the teachings of mindfulness in all her endeavors and particularly enjoys applying timeless spirituality to business. As a professional public speaker, she is often called on to give presentations and lead trainings on mindfulness for her various corporate clients. When she is not meditating, actually while she is meditating, she is also a full-time entrepreneur who runs several successful businesses. She also passionate about expanded consciousness and dying well and earned her Master’s degree from Hood College in Human Science - Psychology, with a master's certificate in Thanatology. She leads free weekly meditations and talks - every Monday night on Zoom. She is also living her best #momlife and loves to spend time with her children and soaking up the sweet moments of presence in the mundane.
