Welcome to this moment of self-care.
Allow your eyes to gently close and let yourself arrive here,
Not halfway,
Not with one foot still in the day,
But all the way here.
And take a deep breath in,
Filling your stomach,
Filling your chest,
And gently sigh it out.
And take another big breath in,
Filling your stomach and your chest,
And gently sigh it out.
Take one more big breath in,
Filling your stomach,
Allowing your chest to expand with air,
And sigh it out.
Allow your breath to return to its normal pace,
And with each exhale,
Release a little of what you've been carrying.
You don't need your mind to be perfectly quiet.
You don't need to get it right.
You only need to allow this moment to be as it is,
And let that be enough.
Place all of your attention at the very top of your head,
And imagine a gentle wave of warm light moving there,
Across your face,
Relaxing the muscles around your eyes,
Around your mouth,
Letting your jaw loosen,
And let every tension melt away.
Imagine this warm wave moving down your neck and your shoulders,
Letting them droop,
Letting them find more ease,
And letting every tension melt away.
And let this warmth and ease move down your shoulders,
Your arms,
All the way to your hands and fingers,
And imagine that they feel so heavy where they are,
So relaxed,
And allowing your arms to just melt and be supported.
And bring your attention to your chest,
Imagine that warmth growing there,
Allowing it to expand with more ease,
More peace,
And let that feeling move down into your stomach,
Letting it settle and find calm,
And imagine that wave of calm moving down your legs,
Past your knees,
All the way to your feet,
And imagine that your legs are so heavy where they are,
Like they could just melt,
And let this wave of ease and peace move throughout your entire body.
There is nothing to do but just be in this space.
Allow your body this moment of peace,
And allow your mind to gently open,
And imagine,
Just imagine,
The glowing white light.
Imagine that you could follow it,
And as you follow it,
It takes you to a door,
And as you open this door,
You enter a beautiful white room,
And in this room is the story of you.
Imagine it like a library,
Every single chapter of your life,
Here it is.
Every moment,
Every joy,
Every sadness that lives within this room.
Every hope,
Every worry,
Every fear.
Every part of who you are lives in this room,
Every story,
And as you walk into this room,
Noticing the collection of stories,
You see someone standing there,
You see you,
Not just any version of you,
The unstoried version.
You know that version of you.
She is the person who existed long before expectation,
Long before pressure and worry and fear.
She is the version of you that exists in its raw,
Beautiful,
Powerful form before the world tried to craft her into something else.
She lives within this room,
Watching all of the stories that have been written over time,
And she sees you,
The question in your eyes,
And she smiles,
She hears those questions.
She hears the question on your heart.
What stories have I told myself in order to feel protected?
And notice she hands you a book,
And you open it.
Notice what story comes up.
What stories have I believed in order to feel worthy?
Watch those pages flip.
What story do you see?
What stories have I carried in order to feel loved?
What stories have I repeated in order to feel safe?
Allow whatever arises to simply be seen.
No need to analyze.
No need to change anything right now.
Simply notice.
Perhaps there are stories about needing to achieve.
Stories about needing to please.
Maybe there's a chapter about being strong.
A chapter about being chosen.
A chapter about needing to be perfect.
Let these stories appear like words written in the air between you,
And notice.
That unstoried version of you isn't threatened by these stories.
That version of you is not defined by them.
The unstoried self sees them clearly.
Remains whole and steady.
That version of you simply observes these stories.
And that version of you is surrounded by all of these stories,
But still smiles with wholeness and light.
That version of you knows,
Deeply knows.
Notice how it feels to meet this unstoried version of you that remains whole,
Worthy.
And in this place,
Where all of these stories are written,
Imagine there's a desk.
With paper and a pen.
Blank pages,
Waiting for you to write the next chapter.
You are the observer,
But you are also the author of your story.
And enjoy the way that feels to remember that you are the master of your fate.
And the next chapter is ready to be rewritten.
And when you're ready,
We'll slowly come back to the present moment.
Allowing your awareness to return to your body,
Feeling your fingers and your toes.
Taking a big breath in.
And when you're ready,
You can slowly open your eyes.
Come back to the present moment,
Remembering this feeling.
This deep knowing that these stories do not define you.
And you are ready to write the next chapter.
